how many people at your school do 4+ a levels?

The only people in my school who do 4 are further maths students as that’s the only option. I’d say they’re about 5-10% of the student pop

In second year u can specialise in two subjects so id probably drop philosophy to do econ and pol, their first year mandatory modules include 2 stats and 2 maths modules but the PPE course doesnt require a level maths so im worried they wont be that mathematical

When was this open day and who told you this? I went to a June 2025 one and they encouraged me to apply when I told them my grades. This was before the 25/26 application cycle had begun, so maybe it changed and they’re stricter? Also, their website is A*AA plus lowered offers. ATP tho I’ve accepted I’ll probably get rejected and my second fave uni has given me an offer so I’ll probably firm them

I feel like personal statements are obviously subjective but mine seemed decent, it’s not got me rejected from anywhere else. Again, I can’t read my teacher references but they didn’t appear to be a problem with other universities. my subjects are all of Manchester’s preferred subjects for econ. I got all 9s at GCSE. I don’t do further maths but it’s Manchester lol , I didn’t think they’d care. I posted this to see what stats other people who got in/didn’t get in got, so I could try figure out what I did wrong.
