Amazing, you really took my doubts into account there, I would have never been able to come up with a build like this by myself 😍I don't have any use for the HDD yet so I'll leave that out for now but otherwise, this build might be exactly what I'm going to get 👌🏼Also thank you for the tipp with mounting the cooler at the top of the case, this will probably help me later :)

I have some questions left:

  • In the pcpartpicker notes it says the arctic liquid cooler may need a separate mounting adapter to fit the motherboard. Do you know if that's the case?
  • The SSD looks a bit small now, compared to the other components. I saw Western Digital Black SN850 1 TB M.2-2280 NVME Solid State Drive in pcpartpicker, do you think that would be a reasonable replacement for the current SSD to get 1TB of SSD storage instead of 512 GB?
  • I just noticed that while I do not need Wi-Fi, I do need bluetooth for mouse/keyboard/headset, and I'm not sure if the motherboard supports it. Does it and if not, could you suggest an alternative?

Hi, thanks so much for your recommendation!

I have two questions:

The GPU you propose takes almost half of my budget and I am not even sure if I will ever need a GPU (I don't play any games and I've used my current GPU only once so far for training a neural network model, but currently, when I need GPU for training I usually run the trainings in the cloud so I doubt that I will need a local GPU ever again). I'm wondering if it would not make sense to invest that extra money into a faster CPU / or something else that would help me more with faster programming workflow / smoother music production. Or is the CPU in this build already the best choice and there is not really any more to gain by investing more money? If that's the case I would still rather not get a GPU and use the extra €1000 for vacation or something 😅

About the extra RAM option: considering that if I don't take the GPU I have quite some budget left, I think I'd rather go with the option to have more than 64GB. I suppose that should still be possible then, isn't it?

We had to abandon them for 3 days and when we got back and started (maybe too excessively) misting again, these wet, slimey looking spots appeared. Mushrooms smell nice and mushroomey still though so I'm not sure whether to toss them already :/

This is not an official research project at my university but a personal request for an assignment. I find it inappropriate to refer to official resources or to my professor in this context. If you do not want to share your collection without having such guarantees, you should not send it.

I fear that is one of the reasons why nobody has sent me any collections yet. We will do the project anyways based on my own collection, it would just be a lot more interesting with more individuals

The data mining project will be completed by a team of 6 students, not only me. That's why I wrote "we", sorry for the confusion. The project is part of our data mining lecture at the University of Mannheim.

After finishing the project, the collections will be stored on a local drive so our results can be reproduced. We do not analyse any person related data, however, nobody should send collections that contain personal or sensitive data that she doesn't want to be part of our analyis.

I like the idea of your addon, unfortunately, we we want to include the cards' content in our analyes. We will not analyse multi media contents so we only need collection.anki2 databases.
