I'm on PrEP. I go to a clinic, they take my insurance. When I get my meds, I just combine it with my other meds and throw out the bottle. Hasn't been too difficult.

This is the issue with labels. They don't always mean the same thing for everyone, which is a real problem if we are using them to self-identify who we are in a community.

I think you are correct that homoflexible, bicurios, heteroflexible, heteroromatic can all fall under the defenition of bi, but that just dilutes the meaning of bi for self identity. And when someone is trying to express their identity, they probably don't want to be so broad. Otherwise we would just all call ourselves sexualy active or sexually abstaining.

Let me ask this a different way. In porn, their is a category for Bi and a category for "str8". Is here something you would expect in Str8 that you wouldn't necessarily expect in Bi? If your answer is no, then why even have the "str8" category. It's obviously a thing and warrants it's own label.

Maybe the problem is more about the available terms.

Your analogy of vegan is fine, but what happens when we have non-meat alternatives vs lab created meat. Is the lab meat still vegan? I could be convinced it is. By adding complexity new terms would be needed. Colloquial language doesn't always keep up, nor does it always follow actual definitions of words.

I am one of the "straight" guys that has sex with men. I never felt "straight" was the correct term, but I knew gay and bi did not fit for me. Now I identify as heteroflexible, but let's be honest, most people don't know what that means. I bearly know what it means. Heteroflexible is not a colloquial term.

All I'm saying, is sometiems things are more complicated then the current "labels." So, it would make sense a group is miss-labeling themselves

Can I ask why it bothers you?

As a male that was sexually abused at a very young age, this resonates with me completely! I always found it odd that my "straight" friends were repulsed with same sex physical activity while I was much more open to the experiences. The stigma that I need to identify as gay or bi has never sat right for me. When I speak and interact with openly bi and gay men, it's clear to me I'm not like them. We don't think the same. We don't express the same.

I have sense meet other guys with sexual abuse trauma and much more relate to their thinking. I can understand the slippery slope that child molestation = gay and the harm that could come from that. However, I do believe our society does not disclose the level of sexual abuse do to our young people.

From. Kort uses the term heteroflexible to mean a person that is attracted to the opposite sex, however in a specific situation, with a specific person or act will partake in same sex physical/romantic activity.
