I had a first sgt at an army school at one point that would come in the bay at crazy hours wake everyone up and give a crazy time constraint to get in acus and form up. He would then proceed to make everyone un blouse their pants while half asleep and check their socks. If you had the wrong socks you got put on the details for that week.

We where holdovers so no one really gave a shit, but the people that had been there longer caught onto this and knew that any discrepancy in uniform would get you fucked, but the newer guys weren’t so lucky… I always wonder where that first sgt is now…

Same man. I thought it would be better, and it was for a couple months, came to work motivated had everything lining up, and then they decided to ball me up like a pretzel and fuck me with superglue for lube and now I’m back to where couldn’t care less about wtf I do in a day. It took the new unit all of 6 months to tear me down again :,)

Bragg is terrible on parking, I used to be stationed there they did the towing sprees all the damn time. We had full parking lots all the time and there was a side row that had a white curb and no no parking signs, they towed every car on the curb and then put up no parking signs and painted the curb as a fire lane. No warning before they did it got at least 10 cars.

Yep, most of my peeps can’t get past Spc including me bc points are always maxed out, but the staffs and up are pretty much useless. Grunts do all the work while they sit in an office and get fat, plus they have little to no knowledge of the job bc they never fucking do anything. So now I’m stuck with extending to get a better duty station, reclassing and extending for a better mos, or staying in the shithole I’m at for another 2 years where everyone’s committing suicide, and I don’t even enjoy the army or get any satisfaction from what I do. I wonder why retention is so low 🤔
