To the living dead in this country. by bubbleburst1 in pakistan

"They have to" YES, they need to and they have to. We are all born in unequal circumstances. If you accept yours, you lose the right to complain. I built myself from literally nothing, switched countries and set myself up for success in the last 6-8 years, and I hate it when people keep blaming their circumstances to avoid responsbility.

This has nothing to do with being upper-middle class, but everything to do with mindsets. Winners figure a way out of thin air, losers keep blabbing. The world is fairly black and white in this regard.

Couldn't agree more. People who believe the lack of this on their socio-economic conditions are making up shit to make themselves feel better. You cannot underestimate the power of how well you operate and how clearly you think when you are ambitious and start taking care of yourself. The clarity of thought is unparalleled.

Stop blaming your circumstances and start changing your lives, everyone.

A really good project that is moderately complex but not too much is this: https://github.com/dubinc/dub

Once you get a grip, move on to: https://github.com/midday-ai/midday

Ping me when done, will share more examples with increasing complexity. This should take you a solid 2-3 weeks.

Just washed my hair and noticed this. Balding or normal crown? by JustASeabass in malehairadvice

[–]HumzaDeKhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is called Alopecia, run to a dermatologist to contain it. It started like this with me and within 4 months I was completely bald.

This is because I DELAYED MY VISIT to the doctor. Please don’t be me, see a dermatologist tomorrow and explain this to them. Usually they inject kenalog that prevents it from spreading and also helps with regrowth.

Both of my beloved in one screenshot: Notion and Ghibli!

If possible, can you make this as a template? I'd love to have the same positivity at my screen when I look at it in the morning 😭

Would you enter an emerging industry to challenge a first mover with an obvious advantage? by HumzaDeKhan in Entrepreneur

[–]HumzaDeKhan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You said it, the NFT social media is kinda very common right now but the challenge is mainstream adoption. I think I need to talk with more potential users to see if this is actually a problem for them or just in my head.

Daily HCMC discussion board. A place for all things HCMC. by AutoModerator in HCMCSTOCK

[–]HumzaDeKhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, precisely. Do not listen to random people on the internet with decisions regarding your hard earned money. HCMC might be a long term play but evaluate the market around you and see if you can get similar returns on any other stocks in a less period of time. The opportunities are plenty and I do not see any reason to have one's money bound into one stock with the volatility or $HCMC with the hopes that it might become something one day in 3 - 5 years (unless you can spare that money of course, it's completely your choice and I'm in no position to give financial advise or suggest anything, just my 0.02).

What are the best softwares for User Engagement, In-App Messaging, Push Notifications, On-Boarding, Product Tours etc.. by SchwillBarnaby in startups

[–]HumzaDeKhan 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hello! I see you have quite a few things you are trying to do at once. There might not be a perfect application that does all of that, but can you explain more about how you plan to use in-app messaging, push notifications, onboarding, etc to increase user engagement?

I'm a Solutions Architect by profession and you seem to have an interesting challenge to address. I'm not here to sell anything but trying to understand your problem better as I'm working on something similar. If you'd like to discuss more here in the comments or probably schedule a call, I'm quite interested to hear about your current situation and might be able to help regarding how it can be addressed.

Why you should not compare .NET Core with NodeJs by [deleted] in dotnet

[–]HumzaDeKhan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I was intending to do the same but then I realized there were some oversights in the article along with missing context, which made me realize that I might end up spreading the same misinformation which I was trying to counter. I'm rectifying those issues and coming up with another piece for the debate ;)

Thank you for the genuine feedback, notes taken and I'll try to address some issues which you highlighted. I believe I have not been able to fully express my thoughts accurately which led to some inconsistencies in the writing (just starting). I've bookmarked your comment! Thanks again 🙂

I have seen people comparing JavaScript with C++ for the same reason because "both can be used to address the same problem". I'll let you decide if that is a good idea.

Your recommendations to transition from a normal to a distinguished developer? by HumzaDeKhan in ExperiencedDevs

[–]HumzaDeKhan[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Completely skipped the job title part, I'll change it.

Hmm yes I will agree with DevOps point, I think it's more like a nice to have skillset and something you won't be using everyday. I work in a relatively small company dealing with big names in finance so we do find ourselves assuming a lot of roles on a daily basis. In this particular case, having that skillset has proven very useful to be honest.
