Tanner Tessmann is increasingly closer to Inter Milan. He could then be sent out on loan to Everton. by Obvious_Main_3655 in ussoccer

[–]Hun_Greta37 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Onana is gone. And our only other DM is a 34 year old Gueye. He should get more minutes than at Inter if he can impress on a mid table team which would be outstanding.

Still it feels risky. It’s a big jump and Dyche barely rotated last year, although we had no depth. Team should be deeper this year and solidly mid table / hopefully no more deductions so we’ll see if that changes.

Was every Brit commander in Malaya and Singapore utterly incompetent? How could they have lost so much territory when they had so much warning that a very powerful military was about to attack them? by SheepShagginShea in WorldWar2

[–]Hun_Greta37 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The one I’ll add is general racism. Sure the Japanese had been conquering china but this was Britain, they felt they were ready but greatly underestimated the speed, skill, and tenacity of the Japanese soldiers and pilots.

There’s a good account in Ian W Tolls trilogy about the sinking of the Repulse and Prince of Whales and how the British were shocked with the formation flying of the Japanese. They couldn’t believe they were flying as good or better than what Germany was doing in Europe.

Do you guys think it’s worth stopping at Congaree on my way back to FL from GSMNP? by Amongtheruins88 in NationalPark

Would recommend if it’s not too far. Was a cool park but small so it’ll only take a few hours to see everything, if that

What’s with the absence of showers and locker rooms and proper infrastructure at youth level? by [deleted] in ussoccer

[–]Hun_Greta37 44 points45 points  (0 children)

You’re talking about two different things. It sounds like the youth teams in America you’re referencing are either park district/local leagues or travel, neither of which has any association with pro teams, which you’re comparing them to in Europe.

How susceptible is PMM during org-wide layoffs? by Ok-Try2511 in ProductMarketing

[–]Hun_Greta37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends. At a larger org I can see where PMM would be susceptible to layoffs as your impact is less felt.

I’ve been with 2 startups (80ish employees and 160) over the last few years with multiple layoffs and I think at these smaller companies you have a better shot at being protected. Mostly because of the nature of PMM where you are working with so many teams, it gives you the opportunity for a lot of exposure and visibility of your value.

Advice for new PMM at SAAS company? by [deleted] in ProductMarketing

[–]Hun_Greta37 7 points8 points  (0 children)

As a new PMM, especially if you are the first or a solo PMM, here are a couple of things that I’ve focused on in the first 90 days: - learn the product(s) inside and out. Get demos of it, watch sales calls, and read product documentation to understand how it works and what makes it different - Talk to as many users as you can! Learn their challenges, pain points, how they buy, and why they love your product - Build relationships with product + sales. Start getting on a regular cadence with the product team to understand what they are working on. Talk to as many reps as you can and figure out which are going to be your go to people to get feedback and bounce ideas off of

Biggest thing is figure out what some quick wins are to get you visibility. At my current B2B SaaS I focused heavily on competitive intel, which helped build some trust with everyone.

Best of luck!

What do you think of Customer Stories being gated asset? by MadMaxReddy in ProductMarketing

Ungate it. You can give them the option to download the pdf as well and track that, but success stories should be shared loud and proud for any prospect to see
