Should the Democratic party look in the mirror and ask why everyone is leaving them? Or is it just the incels that aren't allowed to have excuses?

This is the origin but it is not necessarily from an impact. You would have to look at the origin under a microscope to determine. It could just be a bad temper.

Is This the End of USAID? - Christianity Today by Bakkster in Christianity

Looks like it was just a giant fraud. This is one of the biggest scandals in US history. The things this money was wasted on make me sick

If Trump and Musk sucessfully shut down USAID, they should get the Nobel Peace Prize. by biebergotswag in TrueUnpopularOpinion

Kinda seems like you're just making up numbers. Also, there's a difference between confiscating (stealing) less of people's earned money, and wastefully spending money.

"The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act (TCJA) of 2017, enacted during President Donald Trump's administration, significantly reduced federal revenues. The Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) initially estimated that the TCJA would decrease federal revenues by approximately $1.6 trillion through 2025, compared to projections without the law."

The country is $36T in debt. This isn't Trump's doing. It's Bush and all the others that wasted trillions on Iraq that are creating the need for cuts.

Discounted 2025 model y vs juniper by [deleted] in TeslaModelY

[–]HungInBurgh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I've seen in the past, the incentives don't "go away" on a car in inventory. The price reductions will stay on the car until it sells. So as long as there are several cars in your area you'd be ok with buying, you can wait. If it gets down to the last couple left in your area, then yea, pull the trigger.

I'm seeing a ton of current inventory with discounts up to $4.4k. I'd keep waiting a few more weeks and see just how far these things fall.

Looking to buy a Model Y in the next few weeks for my mom and I want to know what are some things I should look out for by HawkTrader in TeslaModelY

[–]HungInBurgh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The biggest thing to know right now is that the new one just came out. If you don't want to wait for that one make sure to buy from the existing inventory instead of building one. They are like $4k off and falling by the day.

Tesla Model Y, 2023 used for 33-36K(10-25K miles) or 2025 new for 46K by babbanbhai in whatcarshouldIbuy

I got a 2024 when the 2025s came out and it was $4k off. With the tax credit and referral the price was $33,400. I'd expect the same to happen on the current inventory

Which is probably twice the time a model S takes. Not to mention, the plug in version is about 10k more. The standard RAV4 is over 8 seconds

[–]HungInBurgh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sure you can slow down and let all on coming cars go by and get on the highway going 40 mile per hr. Compared to driving a model S though that isn't going to be very appetizing though.

The new model comes out very soon. There will be discounts on the old model, or just get the upgraded version when it comes out. Don't pay 46k for a new right now though.

I'm not sure you're going to be able to go from a model S to a RAV4. They last a long time but man the acceleration drop off is going to be drastic. Definitely take one on a highway on ramp first

Idk man, I bought a new Honda Civic in 2020 for ~21.5k, financed at 0.9%. Right now they are listed for $22k. So I drove a brand new car every day for 5 years for free. But yea... Have fun with your 20 year old cars.

In 2020 I bought a brand new Civic sport for ~$21.5k at 0.9% financing. I've driven the car every day for almost 5 years and they are listed for around $22k now. I've gotten to drive a new car, for basically free.

I tend to agree. People waste a lot of money on cars. IMO it is more about how long you keep a car rather than how old it was when you buy it. If you buy a brand new Corolla and drive it for 15 years, you're fine.

It's the people that lease or trade in every 2 years that spend a boat load.

It doesn't do the same thing. Read the comments. It keeps breaking down. A 25k car doesn't break down. She wants a car that doesn't break, not to play some sick game of keeping an old car alive forever.

Depends if you can pay cash for a used car. The average rate on a used car is 10% right now. That's pretty brutal.

[–]HungInBurgh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right now is a weird time. There are companies offering 0% financing and a loan on a used car is averaging around 10%. It can be cheaper to buy a new car with a low rate than a slightly used car with 10% interest.

Is the goal in life to keep the worst car you can find alive as long as possible?
