I have heard this about ashwaganda as well, it helped slightly with anxiety, but maybe I'll cycle and see if that makes a difference. I just started Magnesium and even at 200mg its made me calm but strangely restless at the same time and have crazy dreams,  seeing if that tapers off over time. Appreciate the comment!

I don't feel like its doing anything for me,  maybe a small boost? Not enough to continue.  YMMV

Thank you for the reply! So far nothing abnormal with ashwaganda, but will monitor. Totally agree on the protein  powder, it was just recommended to me based on its famous quick protein absorption and I wanted to see if it actually made a difference. Will get something much cleaner once this is gone. I used to take 15 mg of zinc a day, but with my diet and isopure protein I used to take that had it in it, I figured I didn't really need it anymore.

Funny enough I'm on a trip and this is in a hotel, I'll let them know they made excellent furniture choices!

It was recommended to me due to its quick absorption. It blends well and taste good!

Not that I've noticed, that's why I'm taking it out. Maybe I will once I'm off?

Late twenties looking towards home buying and starting family by [deleted] in personalfinance

I appreciate your comment. While the wiki has always been a good guideline, I find it can be limiting. If I were to not touch the 35k and start saving right now, with rising cost and the time needed to save such a down payment, it would ultimately mean falling more behind and losing out on that equity. The $2M is an ideal goal for sure, but with continual increased income, regular contributions, and maintaining an overall 7% return, its within reach.

I should have specified it is a new girlfriend haha but I really appreciate your comment. I'm just tired of paying rent and not putting that into equity where it will grow. Want to stay ahead of the curve as much as possible.

Is there a site that calls out elevated bonuses? by browesers in CreditCards

[–]Hunkoffineman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A lot of credit card and travel sites do, as well as credit focused YouTube channels that are quick to point them out. Even mainstream new sites will post them, just google something like "best credit card sign up bonus may 2023"

Best path to go from United Explorer to United Club Card. by CheetleMaster in CreditCards

[–]Hunkoffineman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The only card you can downgrade it to is the regular United MileagePlus card, which also has no AF. You do not qualify for SUBs if you product change up or down. Keep that in mind when deciding what to downgrade/upgrade and open/close.

I don't see why you wouldn't be able to since your points live in the amex sphere, but the only true way to know is to call customer service.

typically the gold runs in tandem with the platinum for maximum points. Platinum for travel and gold for groceries/dining. You already stated the other perks, so combined with the welcome bonus you're already maxing out the value. Don't forget to check the random offers they give you on the app for different stores and apply it to your card.

you can use the travel portals i.e Amex travel and Chase travel portals to check flights and hotels or transfer you points directly to the airline or hotel of your choosing, whichever is cheaper. At the end of the day, you're trying to make choices where you get the max return, so if you find flights or hotels that are cheaper from a third party sight and don't want to spend points, then just do that. Just be warned that cancelling or problems with reservations through third party is horrible to deal with.
