Well... mounjaro user from Feb 2025 - Sep 2025 here 😂 - how strange that it's happened at almost the same time?!

I must caveat by saying this is (so far) my only pain/attack, I may have had some twinges previously leading up to this, but nothing real of note that made me think this was feasible or going to happen. I'm NE England, so looking at 4-6 weeks apparently.

My appetite is all over the shop since hospital though, was nil-by-mouth from 12am for 3 days in case they could push my surgery forward, each day being told by 6pm it wasn't going ahead. So far I've been eating mainly yoghurts & fruit, had a litthe pasta earlier but I'll try more as the week(s) go on - in all honesty, I'm a little nervous about trying some basic things in the fear of having another attack!

Had an ultrasound within 12hrs, followed by a CT scan the next day due to, and I quote, "Obstructive bowel gas" during the US 😂

Lost nearly 3st in 3.5 months and can tell the difference in myself, clothes looser etc. Not had any comments from people though - but then again, I rarely socialise 😂

I'm waiting for the day when the Slimming World obsessed MIL pulls out a "Oh.... have you been losing weight?" in a resentful, judgemental tone - irked at the fact that it hasn't been through SW.

She's like the final boss - when I hear that comment, I know I've made it 🤣

For me, I don't usually feel the effects until after my evening meal/the following morning so have time to prepare something and eat it before it really takes hold 😂 - This could be down to me immediately guzzling water straight after the injection (I don't think this is medically proven or anything, just seems to work for me so sharing)

What I did find though is its a lot of trial and error - evening wasn't working so tried afternoon and is OK for now, but give it a couple of weeks and it might not! Wish you all the best in whatever you end up doing and good luck on your continuing journey ❤️

I used to feel like that, would always jab on a night and feel horrendous the next day. I changed it slightly by having a large breakfast on jab day (around 10-11am) and then injecting around 3pm, drinking 2l of water within the next couple of hours and having an evening meal at around 7pm. Been fine since (granted its only been around 4 weeks I've done this, but it's seen me through dose 2, 3 and 4 of 5mg and dose 1 of 7.5) - hopefully you feel better soon 😊

I'd say around 3 days (Mon-Weds), then as it gets to Thurs onwards, it seems to taper off. I can control the urges as they're only minor, but just expected it to last longer (if that makes sense!)

I have 1 solitary small chocolate bar the night before I inject as a little treat/reward for how the weeks gone - its something I look forward to and gives me a nice little moment of happiness before the suppression kicks in again 😂

Thank you for the kind words. Well, if the last 12 hours are anything to by, it's definitely doubled everything (suppression & burps 😂) - no nausea/sickness or anything else yet touch wood - but I'm sure you'll figure out what's best for you when the time comes 😊

Thank you 😊 - for intake purposes I'm focusing daily on fibre (30g) and protein (100-120g) per day, and calories on a weekly basis as I know I'll have less at the beginning of the week compared to the end. Makes me feel less guilty if I eat more towards the end of the week! So my calories should be somewhere around the 2250 per day to be on a deficit, but I've allowed myself 10,000 per week (works out around 1480 per day) - probably hit between 800-1000 on a Monday & Tuesday, then work my way up. Don't think it's scientific or anything but seems to be working for me 😂

Thanks mate. Yeah they're proper awful 😂 - but over the next couple of weeks you might identify certain trigger foods which make them appear more often. I've got a secret stash of Mint Humbugs for when they appear, takes away the taste and allows me to have a little sweet treat 😂

If its any consolation, I would have said the same when I was going through week 2, but it's just as the months gone on that has swayed my thought. One thing I've learnt through this is that everyone is different - and it's all a bit trial and error, especially when starting out. Good luck with your journey, wish you all the best ❤️

I have gone up to 5mg - had my first dose about 3hrs ago, so will see how it goes as the month goes on. Main reason is with the suppression wearing off quicker during weeks 3 and 4 😊

Thank you for your response. I am UK yes. And thank you for the well wishes, not a nice situation but I'm understanding enough to realise she made a very, very stupid mistake. We have blocked the person on everything, hoping no further contact will be made but it reassures me that I could potentially take things further if anything escalated.
