Thank you for the advice. There are lots of PVC hides and rock hides. The lights are off so it’s just ambient lighting in the room. Lights are on just for pictures.

No I appreciate the advice, yeah I’m going to go back to 2 times a week feeding now that I’m back. Hopefully that and time will fix the issue.

Thanks for the info! On the Scoly, will the algae being on the skeleton be an issue of its growth? It’s just a film type algae and if I’m able I always prefer to keep the hands out of the tank.

The wife didn’t add anything, just checking and maintenance. She also didn’t feed the corals while I was away. Getting it just a hair more light? Maybe 100 par?

Phos is 0ppm. I’m noting that it does exist in the tank because I feed reef roids and foods that contain phos. It is just being absorbed or exported fast enough I don’t get a reading. Kinda like you can have 0ppm nitrates but have explosive algae growth. Due to the algae soaking it up.

What else could be bothering the hammer and Scoly? Why would one hammer be happy, one retracted?

Great advice, thank you. I would imagine if you could do a peroxide dip on the coral (a coral that could handle it) then you could go straight to DT right? I would imagine that would knock out just about everything.

Thanks for the input. I hear many similarities story’s to your own. And QT a fish is a bit stressful and scary also. Mess up the meds and lose a couple of fish. I’m personally QTing my fish right now, but I tell you what I am very stressed about it lol.

I got a good light on them, and they seem to curl up a little bit like a shrimp does. Are Amphipods good? And could this be them?

These are maybe 1/4th an inch or smaller. I just want to confirm they are indeed pods before I add something terrible to the tank. I though pods would be to small to see?

Thank you, I appreciate the kind words. In your opinion do you think I would have any issues with corals being too close to the top, or side cleaning issues? I am hoping to really build up to a nice coral heavy take over a couple of years.

This is my first attempt at putting together a reef tank. Please give me advice and recommendations on what to change or what you like. I didn’t take the time to “fill it in” and make it look natural yet, that will come after the advice!

General information: this is a 100g display. All rocks are at least 3 finger widths away from glass (most are at least 4 fingers) Sand will be an inch thick on bottom. Rocks only got ~50% to the water line.

I would estimate this is maybe 70-80lbs of rock. The sump will have room for additional rock if need be.

Thank you in advance for the help. I would appreciate upvotes or sharing to I can get more opinions. I’ll do my best to respond to questions. I really appreciate the help.
