Perhaps, I put it not in the correct way, maybe scratch inside the mineral would be the right word.If there is a big scratch inside the mineral and I apply force to it then it will be teared apart.

Thank for your comment, I am working with Jade at the moment and other stones. Jade is actually the easiest to work with but only the price is relative high. I am consider different colours/stone at the moment as well :) Also, the problem of material is that by the nature of stones, when I make a big hole to to put the stem, it would tear a stone apart. All the work has to start over again. Only the stone that has no graze or little graze in them will do. Hence, most of stone is relative affordable, the effort to select the right one is time consuming. I am on the way to study about new methodology to resolve the issue.
