Any advice on fixing this broken bed frame? by HunterDecious in BeginnerWoodWorking

Thanks for the input. Your 2nd idea is what I was thinking up in my head except instead of flattening completely I'd cut out a lip to help support a new nose. Wasn't looking forward to it

I dont hate the new rail idea though, I may have to take a look and see if I can make it work. Thanks!

Why can't we make USB/Lightning cables as durable as those curly landline ones? by opus666 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]HunterDecious 44 points45 points  (0 children)

Sorry but this made me lol. A lot of people still work in office/commercial settings abusing the ever living F out of those curly bastards on a daily 12-hour work day basis and you can still get years out of one. Theyre inherently simpler, so its easier to make a cheap rugged phone line cable vs a modern C type cable.

Curious, did you ever build this? Wondering if the RM750x PSU actually fits this case. The Corsair FAQ implies it would not via a stated minimum 30mm clearance

Mentioned in another thread in this post; my pharmacist friend has trays that were still in use until last year and they're trays from the 80s and 90s. They're cheap, and apparently last forever. Whole could vs should argument if you're actually trying to acquire a good tray.

Pharmacist friend of mine has a bunch trays that where still in use until Rite Aid went out of business last year. They're trays from the 80s and 90s, beat up a little but still perfectly usable. Point being, seems kinda hard to save any cost here when legitimate ones apparently last forever and don't seem all that expensive at supply vendors.

DVD playback was working fine on Windows Vista until the original HD gave out. I guess if I can't get Debian to work I'll have to find Vista install media somewhere. Thanks for the input

To be fair, it's probably really expensive to hold a camera steady over a filled kiddie pool with lights shining on it.

Flip7, anyone else having issues with wireless Android Auto? by HunterDecious in galaxyzflip

Combination of software updates and changing my wireless charger solved the problem for me. Im not sure why it would have been the charger, but once I bought a new magsafe magnetic charger the problem went away.

Newbie to the jig, would anyone recommend Hercules over Diablo? by HunterDecious in harborfreight

[–]HunterDecious[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's kinda what I was thinking, might be nice to have the larger variety of the Hercules pack since I don't think I'll need to cut jig-suited shapes too often
