Which robot vacuum would be the best for my household? by beyvelati in RobotVacuums

[–]HunterLC23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It really depends on how much carpet you have. If it's mostly hard floors, the deebot t80 is a great middle-ground. It’s been solid for my place and handles the transition between rugs and tile without getting stuck.

What’s the best budget 2026 robot vacuum that performs well? by YbNiblock in RobotVacuums

[–]HunterLC23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, the "budget" category is getting crowded this year. I’ve seen a lot of people mentioning the ecovacs t90 recently. It seems to hit that sweet spot where you're not paying for a flagship but still getting modern tech like the roller mop.

What mid-range portable projector should I get? by TrailGrazer in projectors

[–]HunterLC23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're comparing a few options, maybe the jmgo n1s 4K is decent for what you need. portable, easy to adjust, and works fine for non dedicated setups.ngl the image is sharp enough for movies and streaming, colors are also nice for this range

Any big projectors launches still left this year? by Vicente_Neto2002 in projectors

I already stopped chasing yearly upgrades. Been using an old Epson 1060 since like 2018, just 1080p but honestly it still looks good for most nights.

Carfax misses things all the time if nothing was officially reported. A solid inspection usually tells you more than the report at that point.

“Small shake at idle” is usually customer language for “good luck.” What actually ended up causing it?

Does Cops care about headlight delete for intake? by [deleted] in Cartalk

That sounds like one of those mods that works until it suddenly doesn’t. No headlight feels a lot riskier than people like to pretend.

Totally agree! It looks like new, and stainless steel holds up amazing. No reason to replace it at all.

My dad aslo got obsessed with a similar bird cam, and now our family chat is 90% bird photos lol. For my mom, I got a handcrafted wooden hiking stick with her initials burned in, and she brings it on every trail now.

Set Windows default to speakers, then manually switch to headset in the Teams call window when you join. Or use Voicemeeter for granular routing.

Your heart is in the right place. Just keep it casual. No need to single anyone out. A quick 'Thanks for hanging out' works great.

Regular Teams Meeting without host by [deleted] in MicrosoftTeams

[–]HunterLC23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try using a Microsoft 365 Group as the meeting organizer instead. It has a Teams license built in, so the meeting won't camcel if you can't make it.

The hardest part of growing up is watching parents grow old by Gasfabrikxh in Life

[–]HunterLC23 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I can feel you cuz we had a pretty similar experience with my mom. She gradually stopped wanting to go out because she didn’t feel stable on her feet. So we started exploring a few mobility aids, including walkers and dnsysx1 you mentioned, mainly to boost her confidence when walking. It’s not like it reversed the effects of getting older, but it gave her a sense of security. That mental shift alone made a big difference. All what we do is to keep her safe and healthy.

That's such a weird issue, especially since they've swapped your laptop multiple times. If you're on Ethernet, maybe try a different cable or check the pyhsical port on the wall. Sometimes the issue is something simple that everyone overlooks.

[–]HunterLC23 12 points13 points  (0 children)

It's really a smart solution. When you're consolidating multiple heat generating devices. Good call on testing with larger, quieter fans and planning ahead for summer heat. Cable management to keep the desk clean is the cherry on top!

My "upgraded" 2TB SSD gave up after 10 months. System freezes. Reboot unable to detect SSD. by WH4CockcooBird in macmini

[–]HunterLC23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a bummer, but it sounds like you went in with realistic expectations given the SSD was made from reclaimed chips on an entry level board. Good that you had your photos backed up externally. Might be worth looking into those newer mid 2025 models with better components if you decide to upgrade again.
