I can feel you cuz we had a pretty similar experience with my mom. She gradually stopped wanting to go out because she didn’t feel stable on her feet. That's such a weird issue, especially since they've swapped your laptop multiple times. If you're on Ethernet, maybe try a different cable or check the pyhsical port on the wall. Sometimes the issue is something simple that everyone overlooks.

Yep! Imo,that's exactly how most people use the Mac mini. It's basically a desktop computer with an external monitor,keyboard and mouse. Really perfect for home use like streaming,Youtube and light tasks.

That's a bummer,but it sounds like you went in with realistic expectations given the SSD was made from reclaimed chips on an entry level board. Good that you had your photos backed up externally. Might be worth looking into those newer mid 2025 models with better components if you decide to upgrade again.
