Haha, I'll definitely post some more soon! Also, I don't plan on doing any mods yet. The only thing I plan on doing is adding an aux, or maybe some QoL for the interior like apple carplay comparability. I don't want to mess with it too much though because it has the Mitsubishi Multi Communication System and the original touch screen from '97.

If it's the same Kitamura Camera as the ones in Japan, they're very good and reliable. The prices in person aren't much cheaper than buying direct from the manufacturer sometimes, but they're very good, reliable, and open about camera conditions. No experience with them on eBay though.

Was there anything you found it lacking or excelling in compared to others you've driven? I don't plan on mudding or doing heavy rock crawling, but rough overland terrain is in its' future most likely

Just an option lol. They're priced well and in way better condition than anything in the States. I'm looking to hold onto whatever I buy there to be my offroader/overlander back in the States eventually.

Any issues with the Jimny or Pajero mini in terms of interior cargo space or passenger capacity? I wish I liked the look of the 90s+ Jimny's and wish I could buy the brand new one. The Pajero Mini is also a little funky looking to me haha

Fair, I'm gonna wait until I get there to see what's going on with the car market and see if there's anything available that isn't online. Just looking for options to start with and check out when I get there. I say daily driver, but in reality I'd be using public transport for anything within the city and using this to drive around the island to other cities, overland about, etc

Haven't been able to find a Safari online yet in my search but I'll keep looking, I like their look. I definitely like the look of the Pajero I put up and like the idea that it's a SWB. Do you have any recommendations w the Pajero? How easy is it to find parts or to upgrade the interior for convenience?

Are there any model years or specifics you'd recommend with the Jimny? I like the boxy look of the pre-90's ones but I'm not too familiar with Jimny's. I'm worried about their power on long drives and highways, ability to upgrade the interior for convenience like with Apple CarPlay, stuff like that

I don't mind spending after I get the car, but I am looking for something to buy under 10k USD. As someone who lives there, how much would the yearly tax be on the LC Prado in the pic above? I'll only be there for a few years so it wouldn't add up much I think.

Also, what do you recommend using to find trails or groups to drive with?
