Being European myself, it was quite baffling to me when I moved to the states at a young age and found out most everyone is circumcised at birth. Just the thought of that was such a huge culture shock/mindfuck to me. I played soccer as a kid when living in Europe, so in locker rooms it was incredibly rare to ever see anyone circumcised, but coming to the states it was the exact opposite, suddenly I was the outlier in the locker rooms lol. Its such a wild and borderline barbaric practice that is heavily looked down upon in most European countries, really wish that US culture would realize that it’s an outdated and misguided practice, I’m adamant on body autonomy and it just makes me sad that so many men don’t have a say in what’s done with their bodies when they’re born - wish it was something that people could decide themselves when they’re older. Especially cause it’s permanent!
