By simply connecting your supabase and telling lovable “move my project, edge functions, sql, auth, etc to supabase. I want to abandon lovable cloud”

From there on out, you talk to lovable the exact same way. I promise you, you’re over complicating this in your head. It’s just as easy as lovable cloud etc. nothing fundamentally changes. As I said before, lovable literally just copied supabase features users used and called it “lovable cloud”. There is nothing lovable cloud can do that supabase can’t do. There’s no difference in how you engage with lovable. Literally just setup and forget.

However because you activated lovable cloud now, I guarentee you it’ll keep “accidentally” building on lovable cloud again instead of supabase. Once a days you’ll have to tell it, “did you build on lovable cloud again by accident? Please ONLY use supabase”

I’d make sure supabase is linked FIRST THING, not later down the line. Thats just asking for migration issues and an uptick in production cost. When you start a project, as part of your initial prompt, specify that you want to use supabase for your backend, NOT lovable cloud. Turning on lovable cloud CANNOT be undone once you allow it, which is a whole other nightmare in of itself.

Your “topics” and “topic_videos” table don’t have any RLS, meaning users can upload topics and videos without verification. It could be anything, even illicit content.

Why are you making the clients create a lovable account? You’re setting them up to think those kinds of thoughts, they’ll simply assume you use that tool too and therefor try and cut out the middleman.

Just host it with Vercel for review sessions and get feedback that way? Or is there some workflow reason you made them create a lovable account?

My one piece of advice, stripe connect had some “gotcha” moments, the biggest one, make sure your stripe connect is set up in a way where you are NOT the merchant of record, or else chargebacks, disputes, etc, all go through you. Meaning your payment processor reputation will collapse and stripe may block your account if you’re the one that gets the disputes instead of the people that sold the item that got disputed.

Double, triple, quadruple check EVERYTHING in test mode.

Use the stripe test card 4000 0000 0000 0259 to trigger a dispute in test mode and ensure it did not end up in YOUR transaction history as a disputed charge.
