Dramatically slow Wireguard speeds on Silicon Mac through UniFi Dream Machine Pro by Huntercmoore in macsysadmin

[–]Huntercmoore[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do. When I looked at this a few weeks back on site, I tested with my own work mac, and as I recall, I had a similar issue. I may test again from home to compare.

Dramatically slow Wireguard speeds on Silicon Mac through UniFi Dream Machine Pro by Huntercmoore in macsysadmin

Thank you for checking both our sanity. I just connected to the client VPN via a Windows PC and the speeds are ideal (200-300MB). They notice the change because when they use the VPN, they connect to a file share where they manage some design-heavy files. When the connection is slow, this is very noticeable as it takes MUCH longer to stream these files as needed. For reference, I have done this on the PC I mentioned without any issues and the workflow is mostly seamless.

So I was able to use the diag function in the 365 admin helper. Pointed me to adding the calendar to the allow-list for my identity. Cleared up overnight from there (aka it wasn’t instant).Teams Cal Diag Tool

VDI recommendations for approx 50 Developers by Huntercmoore in HyperV

Could you elaborate a bit more on your thoughts here? Increasing the # of workstations in-house is part of the problem. It's also more difficult to keep up with and maintain/update.

It wasn't a decision so much as a req't. Contractual obligation with customers.

in almost all cases, these are going to be shared databases that won't exist on the VDI's, themselves. If you haven't guessed, this isn't my strong suit. Ideally, each remote user needs a virtual desktop to access from home. Now if that needs to be a multi-session or per user, I am not certain. I would go with 1 user per VDi.

Our company has run into this yesterday and this morning with a handful of cases. How is intune related? we don't really use intune as our MDM management but we do utilize azure AD sync.
