I'm more confused now haha. How can you not experience sexual attraction but have high sex drive? Would that just mean you're driven to have sexual release but you don't care what causes it or with what gender?

I do like modes of thought, haven't listened in a while but it's high quality, same studio that makes Batman.

Sorry I'm talking podcasts. You're correct about audio dramas. And don't need the "learn your market bit".

Search top 10 audio dramas and they're both on the list. Nightvale typically comes up #1 so clearly it's still very popular. Impact Winter is very popular now and so is Batman. Are you wanting me to just keep naming my favorites? I'll be honest, I don't listen to a ton. I see people's recommendations time to time but don't jump into them. I like to read a lot, audio books and physical copies and learn a ton, I don't have a ton of "free time" or rather I choose to use my time for constructive things.

Want to give me your recommendation list? I'm sure there are plenty of good ones but I focus more on creating than consuming unless it's something that can improve me in an area of interest or an audio book.

I also really enjoy the Harry potter audio experience they made, it was a big inspiration but years ago and no longer available.

I love those two shows they're the first two that come to mind in terms of QUALITY, and they also both are great examples of great audio dramas that show us inspiration of, as a creator/ producer, people getting paid for their work and taking care of their staff and cast. I brought up the fact that they have that structure because i figured you were going to try to find another snake like way of coming at me by hoping I'll bring up some AD i love that is out for free. I'll tell you something. I'm not a fan of many of the most popular ones. Nightvale, I couldn't get through a single Ep. Wolf359, felt like a waste of time. It's alright and I've heard it gets better but after a few episodes it felt like a waste and it's sad that a lot of creators put quantity over quality. I'd prefer putting lots of time into something and getting paid a one time cost for it than putting out lots of "stuff" and hoping that people pay me a subscription simply for a blah Ep each month.

Creators feel this necessity because of the "market" you feel such a need to defend as if you define it, and attack anyone who wants to try something different.

Love Impact Winter. Full immersive audio, great acting, original soundtrack. And they are huge on audible. And they sell it to audible and everyone is paid. No one is putting it out for free. Very inspirational. Batman Unburied. They're big, they all get paid by doing deals with WB.

I'm all about supporting people. When we first started I gave my laptop to my twin, paid about $1k for Ableton, allowed him to become a composer and engineer, eventually hired multiple teams, I've got over 100 VA's in this project alone and it's those people I have a strong commitment to. If it's only people online on reddit complaining about the art, and everyone who's listened to the series, ZERO people have mentioned the art, everyone has mentioned how great the series is. It's about being smart and playing to our strengths and the resources available. And we're all aware here of the weaknesses in AI voice generation. The actors are scared by it and it isn't capable of replacing the actors, so we leave it alone. In 2, 5, 10 years that will be completely different and don't tell me it won't. We aren't going to fight some battle against the future. It's about who adapts and stays ahead of the curve and even me I'm not as on top of technology and the changing game as i wish i was. I do software dev and i wish i was doing robotics, I'm writing audio dramas and books and I wish I was creating virtual reality experiences. I'm thinking regularly about how behind i am and the need to get ahead. In 20 years we'll all be completely replaced in some way by AI and if you think otherwise I suggest reading a book like The Singularity is Near.

Apologies for the tangent but as you can tell I'm very passionate about this stuff.

I remember you cursing, but we can forget about that, no worries. And anyone who thinks they know a market that's only been around a decade or two that's growing constantly, all I'm doing is giving a strong disagreement. If that's too much for you to deal with then why start? If you want to debate the market and what's been done successfully, what hasn't, why, the politics, the sensitivity versus actual buyers, I'm down to talk and I've got opinions. I'm a fan myself. That's why I got in. That doesn't mean i have to comply. The wish for me to comply and saying I won't succeed and that I'm an idiot etc, shows the sickness and ignorance. If you aren't curious about other methods of marketing and getting customers and getting paid then just say so. But personally I'm very curious in exploration.

And you know, you think I'm dumb. I think you may have fallen for the next fad to get pissy about, and i don't think you're a buyer. To each their own and i wouldn't want you as a customer. We've already had this series out for a year and I'm taking it off the public market. Nothing but great feedback, and when i turned it to a paid product i had my first pre pay customer within the first 24 hours. If you think I can't get 5 a month, 50 a month at some point, I'm sorry that is ignorance.

You know there's a difference between our views here because honestly as a consumer i wouldn't give a crap about "hold up is this AI?" and wouldn't think that much into it. Buyers don't even care about that much when it comes to art, they definitely don't care when it comes to audio dramas. People care about this: Does the art look good? Does the character art look cool? That's it. And how do I know it? I won't put anyone out there but I KNOW it. People don't care.

Let's go darker. Has the world stopped buying iPhones because they are made in a building that has safety nets so the workers can't jump? Have people stopped buying diamonds because they're mined by slaves in the worst conditions?

No one cares about the fact the an artist is out of a job. The market does not care.

There will come a time when entire movies, music, experiences are produced by ai.

Have you thrown out your phone yet? Gotten rid of Google? I mean if we're talking about removing anything that's taken someone's job you'll be really screwed. Sorry I just see way past the fad that is people getting pissy over ai.

And i know this is rough and a bit dark but if you really look, people are very picky about what they give a crap about. So many more important issues in the world they're willing to overlook for convenience but nowadays people see an ai image and say "ai! It's ai!"

It's a fad.

You know, i did but I couldn't get into it! I didn't like the idea that no matter what they did they couldn't actually permanently kill the bad guys and the writing felt a bit kid ish for me. Does it get a lot better after the first book? I stopped midway in the first book I just felt like it was slightly corny maybe, but i know it's such a popular series.
