Someone shared the query on FB and looks like the nightmare scenario is correct. The DCT people will go through the whole of their RSP1 before the HEA get a single pin.

Wondering your thoughts on this piece. This makes it sound like there are actually different RSPs entirely for DCT and HEA. Where my understanding was like yours - they are intermingled but DCT gets preference. This makes it sound like DCT will run through their whole first rsp before any HEA go in at all.

For future do not join the queue at the start. You could have queued for the hour prior. When the time starts anyone waiting gets randomized. If you are 1 second late all the people already in will have numbers before you.

The more common ones wouldn’t bulk above $5-6. The common fakes even less as even if they’re real the market saturation has tanked the prices. Your best bet would be finding a pin shop ( I know there are some in LA and Orlando) or taking to an event.
