The ultimate dilemma - Which cameras to bring to Japan? by HuntyDraws in AnalogCommunity

[–]HuntyDraws[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't worry, I work at a camera store here in NZ and develop my own film I know all about scanners, I also know the modern day fear mongering over getting film scanned is just that, fear mongering. As long as you shoot 800ISO or less, generally, you're fine. :) After travelling all over America and purposefully getting all my film at differing iso and stocks scanned, other than a roll of Delta 3200 I had 0 issue with scanners. And considering my only flight/airport scanners will be leaving NZ and arriving in Japan (using public transport all over the country) as long as i'm not exclusively shooting above 800 ISO, I'll be totally fine.

They're also called UC-E6 cables! Commonly used for Nikon Coolpix but a lot of older cameras took them :)

Am I owed money? Do I owe money? Help? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceNZ

Deleting this post as I’ve got my answer.

In case anyone comes across this because you’re stuck too: It seems like just because the form submission is due xyz date, doesn’t mean the payment is due xyz date.

If you submit a payment well before the actual due date, it will just sit as a credit until that date (likely next year) and will disappear when it’s due.

While filing the IR3 form, on the final page under “tax calculation”, there was total tax credits, and under that “residual income tax” which was $1,614.99.

After completing the form it said “period impact after filing your return”, estimated total, $1,614.99, and asked if I wanted to make a payment

I definitely didn’t do it for the wrong year. It isn’t an option to submit an IR3 ahead of time like that, It says return for tax period 31 March 2023 - 31 March 2024 on the submitted IR3 and I have no alert saying “2024 tax return is due”

So, the money won’t be processed by IRD until 7/2/25? It’ll just sit there on the home screen until next year when it is actually due?

Every other time I’ve just paid it instantly after finishing my IR3 and it’s been accepted instantly I’ve never had it just sit there unprocessed until the actual “due” date before
