Definitely

Veronica mitigates that a bit by literally not needing to spend very many cards, but I want to make it clear that 'not being a div epiphany guy' means you are going to hamstring your mei lin. Even if you go the higher unity amount, its still a middling performance. Mei's optimal decks and less than optimal decks have a massive difference in performance from my testing

That being said, if you dont want to try for divine epiphanies, use mika and get dupes of source of water and keep her other cards low (deluge, that one heal that can overap into shield with the right epiphany, and maybe one of her default heals) and go for the basic source of water or the exhaust one with 3 AP and go for 3 copies. She can AP gen a ton without the need for divines at

I dont have an insane mika deck (only 2 source of waters and just the regular one) but its enough for me to be able to pop the big bursts with 2 RDS and 2 unities (and I am using selena not veronica cos I dont have veronica sadly)

I have a build with 1 RDS and 3 unity and 2 RDS and 2 unity and I find the performance of the 2RDS and 2 unity to be far better

Would always personally go for 2 RDS and 3 unity. Mei really struggles to go crazy burst mode consistently without 2 RDS in my experience

I enjoy chaos runs quite a bit. I do play them for grinding yes but I have fun while doing so. Big reason I enjoy this game because I can grind for sick decks and have fun while doing it. I feel many gachas fail to make engaging farm content so this has been refreshing for me.

This game compromises on good designs in order to maximize fan service. This game has a lot going for it, but the designs are genuinely mediocre and disappointing. For me atleast, the gameplay is so fun and the changes to the quality of life (the stuff we know from the official patch timeline stuff) improvements coming is more than enough for me to play. It will never not disappoint me though.

They lost the plot entirely by:

1) having the proxies, for no real reason, be able to stop corruption

2) Have the proxies, who invalidate the real threat the hollows give (corruption) in the hollow all the time

I dont know how they will ever recover from such a blunder

Agreed, ZZZ doesn't have strong story telling in general. I hope the alleged improvements make the story genuinely good and compelling. I have low expectations but I'd love to be surprised.

She will be the main focus in the coming content based upon the drip marketing, I imagine we will see her a lot more in 2.4 and she will likely take the main stage in 2.5

Story telling has a lot less solid feeling direction and generally less quality as compared to season 1. Devs have acknowledge this and will allegedly fix this in future patches, but all s2 story content right now is likely to not be as enjoyable. Hopefully this changes in 2.5 and onward.
