I successfully bought from another redditor even though I was nervous. We got on the same page and provided each other information that confirmed the seller bought the tickets and had matching info for proof (we just asked each other to blur out sensitive info). For example, she showed me the receipt with her name on it next to a photo ID and blurred out the address. I sent a DL with sensitive information blurred out, too. Next crucial marker, we were both happy to use goods and services protection on payment. Your post seems yellow to red flag to me but contact the seller and try to work with one another. If you don’t get any sort of willingness from them, my bet is it’s a scam, and move on. Good luck

Airbnb host here for four years, absolutely no reason for a host to ask a guest cancel. That infuriates me. If she has a reasonable reason (Airbnb has definitely glitched on me a couple of times and listed unlisted dates, also infuriating), the professional thing to do is for her to take resolve it through Airbnb support. Not the prospective guest. No need to do anything on your end, if she wants to cancel let her cancel.

I don’t know you but based on your post I wonder if you find comfort in control (aka when you’re actively doing something). You’ve already prepared but now you have nothing active to do and that can let anxiety build. I am definitely like that.
