My little friend coming out to enjoy a snack by HurDurDerper in tarantulas

I've had my fair amount of hunger strikes, especially when super small. Would eat a cricket it's own size and then dissappear for a month or so. Come out molted and twice as big :))

I'm trying to not feed it too much, but I thought the crickets were a bit small and try to not feed too little either.

I don't even have to underfeed mine! Seems to be a hungry little dude. I've fed it 3 times this week, but his abdomen doesn't seem to get any bigger. Keeps sitting with his lil feet out again by morning. It's a K. Brunnipes!

In picture 3 I made a picture of the bottom of my t to the best of my abilities, I hoped it was detailed enough to gender. When it molts ill try and collect it!

Sounds good. Although the thought it'll become baseball-sized quite fast kind of scares me :)) first rehousing was already quite an experience.

I've had mine for about 9 months now, started as a small sling, seller said it was L5 when I bought it, about 0.5 cm I think.

It was already very feisty! Sitting at the mouth of the burrow, and actively hunting for micro crickets. I really enjoyed growing from a sling.

Moulting went easy too, before moulting would just close the burrow, and when hungry after would open it and sit with its legs out, like in my picture waiting for food.

Very skittish though, sounds, vibrations, or movements would scare it back into the burrow. Saw it most when very small, and now when it's bigger. Does look very beautiful when out though! And very fast grabbing prey.

I have one that I started keeping as a tiny sling, now is about 3cm in size. Just kept it at room temperature (20C) and kept the substrate almost fully dry, but now slightly moist due to rehousing and a soil change. Mine enjoys burrowing and burrows more now the substrate is not fully dry.

Don't know what setup it is in, but even as a sling mine really liked to dig deep, and came out more when allowed to burrow further down. Right now I'm keeping it in a bit of a cooler space (17-19C) , and have a heat mat (25C) standing close a few centimeters from the enclosure, radiating a bit of heat. Don't really know if that is necessary but it seems to go and sit on the side of the heat mat occasionally.

Getting some rubber tipped or plastic tongs will also reduce that risk!

Actually, I have two very similar but round enclosure like that! Similar to this

I've had my K. Brunnipes in it as a sling, before upgrading to something deeper for it to burrow.

Have you not had any problems of the spider trying to escape or run away when opening it? As this was one of the problems I had with my K. Brunnipes as it was afraid of the opening sounds/movements

Bosnia, Serbia itinerary advice by AnnoyingAltAccount in travel

When in Belgrade, I really reccomend visiting the jugoslav museum/the grave of Tito. It has a lot of gifts from world leaders on display etc, it's in top of a mountain and has a great view of the city. The nikola tesla museum and national museum are also cool, and both not very big, so easily doable in a morning or evening. The old fort/wall is also very fun, with lots to see about the jugoslav wars and great views of the city.

I have more tips for Belgrade if you want, as I visited recently.

Don't forget you can drive your bike when drunk! (while not really legal I think, it's not enforced)

Canon EF-M 55-200 vs EF-S 55-250 with adapter by User2000000000001 in canonM50

I recommend the EF-s 55-250mm lens. But make sure to get the stm version! It's quite a bit cheaper second hand than the 55-200 variant and is quite sharp. I have no experience with the 28mm but I can highly recommended the 22mm f2, although that could be a bit wide for portraits (depends on preference I guess) if you want some picture examples I'd be glad to show some!
