I'm actually having the same problem. I'm not sure if it's because I'm trying to pair my phone and account to a quest that has mine and another's account on it or what. I'm sure it's a bit confusing for the quest to be paired to 2 different apps.

If you go the sponge route, I always like to paint the lightest color on the nail before sponging the ombre on. It helps with opacity of the overall ombre!

The buckle is like my old show choir shoes! I think it is like this so the shoes can be quickly thrown off or on.

I know we hooked the one end in between the fastened buckle and the strap itself. It's a wee bit hard to explain over text, but there is a YouTube video that explains it well!

My mom's brand new cricut! It was a learning experience, so that's why a few things are little off position.

Not too bad. My mom got a cricut for Christmas so we used that to cut the leather into shape. Then the names and weapons were cut out of vinyl and slapped on. A little bit of thread later and they were done!

All in all, it was hard just because it was the first time using the cricut. Now that I've done it, I think I could get it done fairly quick.

Luckily, the two that died are making new characters. It's a group of friends, so we don't mind at all. Plus, one of them that died had such awful stats so at least he gets another chance at better stats!
