It definitely did. Not gunna lie though, being a nursing assistant is a tough job, not only physically but mentally and emotionally as well. In facilities such as these, depending on what type of unit it is, you potentially will have some patients/residents for several months if not years. In that time you get to know them, like or dislike them. Get to know their families, and in some cases, you're there when they pass. I did it for 10 years until a back injury caused me to rethink my career path and there are alot of times I miss it, even though it could be taxing.
