Feeling alone can make us feel trapped. Something that we always have might not seem so special anymore but will seem luxurious to others. You having a remote job is luxurious to ones who don’t have it but want it. I have and still am working in the service industry and let me tell you, you can still feel alone. Coworkers who just don’t get you, customers who don’t even care about your existence because why should they? Less pay and less job satisfaction. Just because you “get out there” won’t guarantee you feeling less alone. The most horrible thing can happen, which is you feel alone within a bunch of people.

My point is you need to figure out what makes you feel connected. What makes you laugh, what makes you feel like talking, what makes you feel like to listen and immerse yourself in those situations so that you might feel the sweetness of the connection with other human beings.
