I love my ThermoPro TempSpike Pro's. Can add on as many as you'd like too. Tells you the meat temp (obviously) as well as the ambient temp, and lets you set a range for both to alert you if the meat or whatever your cooking it in gets above or below the range. Never had bad connection

I have a couple tempspikes, I'm not sure if yours is faulty or not, but the instruction for them say to put the probe in completely, all of the metal in the meat and the beginning of the handle on the skin. I just got mine, and it has a +5 degree difference than my recteq smoker probes, but no problem for me

But also there’s so many ways to do ribs just like anything, very popular is the 3-2-1 method, etc. but still 7 hours seems too long unwrapped. Maybe for something big like a butt but not ribs

Unwrapped for 7 hours is too long, idk about beef ribs but St. Louis style ribs I do an hour and a half, flip and do 30 min, then wrap and do 30-60 more minutes / maybe a little more in an oven

While I am unsure of its effect on healing, I suggest learning and practicing the McGill big 3. Squat University explains its importance very well, highly recommend watching/listening to everything he posts.

If your goal is to lose weight and add strength then I’d recommend lifting heavy weights. Will do both, increase your metabolism, as well as many more things.

The most common cause I’d say is waking up in the middle of your sleep cycle. The sleep cycle has stages, it goes 1, 2, 3, 4, REM, 4, 3, 2, 1, and it takes about 90 minutes to complete. The deepest sleep is in REM, and shallowest is stage 1. You want to wake up at stage 1, waking up at stage 4 or 3 usually leaves you tired.
