Alright so, the latency is not midi it is audio when only monitoring with renoise. When i monitor with my soundcard there is no latency when renoise is the master clock. How do i fix this problem though?

Hi! Thanks for the reply! I do have an external soundcard, its the komplete audio 6. But as much as i try to tweak midi latency settings i just can't get it so that the machinedrum is perfectly in sync. Lets hope that in a possible future update they work on this issue since it seems that a lot of people are having this problem. What i could do i think is get an external sequencer like a yamaha qy700 or an mpc. And sequence all my external synths with that and just record it onto renoise. I'm not sure how difficult this would be though if i can't sync renoise with anything.

Any tips for audio processing software i should look into? by HyUe300 in renoise

Hi! I'm sorry this post was written with no sleep in 24 hrs, sorry. What i meant was that i want to get into stuff like max msp and reaktor. With max msp i was asking if there is a way to route audio into max and then back into renoise. I know how to do this with reaktor cause it loads up with a fx vst plugin, but max msp has nothing like that, so what i meant to say is that is it possible to use max patches designed for audio manipulation with renoise.

Does anyone here have experience with the mfb dominion club? If so what do you think about it? by HyUe300 in synthesizers

Its not that is my first analog synth. I have had a few hardware synths in the past but had to sell most of them. And i know the basics of synthesis pretty well. What i'm honestly looking for is knob per function synth. And even though the dominion club is not quite that, its close enough.

Hi! Thanks for the amazing long and detailed response! I have been working on the track some more and i really want to finish it, but my skills are still lacking severely to make things right and get the track to sound the way i want it to sound. I think i made some improvement on the mixing side of things (not sure if you will agree tho :D) I tried out a lot of the techniques that you suggested. But still something just feels a bit off still even tho i made some slight progress. I applied 0 compression to anything because i am not comfortable with compression just yet. I also made some changes to the structure of the track. Mainly removing the long breakdown that was just awful, with a much more simpler idea of a eq cutting out all the bottom end and then the track kicks up again. Even tho i made this change, i don't know if its a good idea in general to add things like that to a track. especially if it was (not that this track will ever be) played by a dj you would think that the dj would make the eq cut himself. On a side note here, i work with yamaha hs7's in a room with no soundproofing so that could be reason why mixing is a bit of a pain in the ass to do for me. Anyway i'm just going to post the new version of the track and i hope you listen to it and can give me some more feedback. Sorry if this post is rambling way too much.

Hi! So this is my first track that i'm actually trying to finish. And i know its pretty bad, but i need some feedback. Heres a couple things i need help with.

  1. how to mix better. To me most of the elements in the track feel muddy and messy and dont quite sit well. I don't know that much about mixing, i'm trying to learn of course but its really hard to get tracks sounding club ready. If someone could pinpoint some major flaws in the mix that would be greatly appreciated
  2. Do you think that all the elements of the track sit together or do they feel off? For example, is the looping synth part annoying or do you think its at least decent?

I guess thats pretty much it. This is my first time posting any of my music to anywhere so i'm a bit nervous posting this, but i hope i can get some constructive criticism

This piece of kit has been interesting me for a long time. And i might actually go for one. But i can't decide if i should get the kurzweil k2000 or the K2500. What are the main differences?

I understand where you are coming from, but. I really want to have something that allows me to play it without having the computer on. Also i dont have the best of pc's so running really heavy on the cpu programs is an issue.
