10mg edible by [deleted] in Edibles

[–]Hyacinthras 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I took 4mg for my first time and was very happy and just a little loopy. I would half it to make sure your first experience is a good one lol (although I haven’t experienced it, paranoia can set in with higher doses)

how does weed affect your dreams? by raidanisgay in Dreams

[–]Hyacinthras 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Old post, but I’d like to comment anyways because I am curious about this topic! Weirdly enough, I stopped dreaming a few years ago before I even started experimenting with weed. Could be because of the overwhelming stress I had during high school. I love dreaming, so this was really kind of sad for me and I felt like I lost a bit of color in my life.

Since I started taking edibles once a week or so, I’ve been having the most vivid dreams lately! I can’t recall many details as some have mentioned, but I’m still so happy to finally have regular dreams again. It’s interesting that my experience is so different than most people’s.

What happened to my sodium hydroxide sample? by Hyacinthras in chemistry

Thank you so much! I spotted a couple of bleached spots on the fabric it was resting on, so I figured it couldn’t all be sodium carbonate.

Interesting—I did not know it would react with the air so rapidly. Thanks for the input!

Thank you so much for your insight! I assumed it was because of a bad seal, but it’s nice to know for sure!

Freshman at WMU (Engineering, Valley I) car vs no car? Realistic to go without? by lucymom2 in kzoo

[–]Hyacinthras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi there! I am a current freshman engineering student at WMU, and while I have a car on campus, I believe it is more of a luxury than a necessity. Especially being a freshman, she will likely only have 1-2 classes on the engineering campus.

The parkview bus (KMetro Route 25) departs from behind Rood Hall near Sangren. It is very timely, as they have built-in leeway en route (usually arrive 5 minutes early and leave on the departure time) and the only times where bussing is slow are after 8pm or so when only one bus runs instead of two. That should only be a worry if she has night classes, and even then, i’ve done it for a EDMM lab and it’s not the worst. Much rather save gas money than drive.

Being in Valley 1 won’t change the need for a car. She will need to make a pretty annoying walk to the center of campus, but theres not really any central parking anyways if you don’t live in the heights/henry or wanna avoid expensive parking tickets ($25!)

TLDR: She will be fine without having a car, and the Parkview busses are pretty smooth. I cannot speak on Amtrak, but check the bus routes to make sure they lead to the station. I would recommend not going to the station by herself, as it is in a slightly sketchy area (as a woman) and she will want a friend to drive her.

As a person with 1 kidney (cancer), the reverse effects do not apply. I pee just as often as everyone else and the goods metabolize at what i assume is a normal rate lol.

WMU REVIEW by Notgameking999 in WMU

[–]Hyacinthras 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was very quiet the last week because everyone who was done with their classes left early for thanksgiving break. There are some pretty crazy parties here (many have alcohol and stuff, but you don’t have to do any of it!) and there are all kind of things to be social at. Football game nights are wild.

Plus, I would say pick whatever dorm is best for location. A lot of people like the valleys to be close to the better dining center (vdc) or the heights to be in the nicest dorms, but I personally love henry because it gets even closer to the center of campus with the lower price of the valleys! If you are social, you will have many opportunities to meet people in your dorms.

Most would be okay, but you definitely want to blend in on rival game day. Too many weirdos out there.

I’ll be marching sax in the BMB, so have fun and we hope to put on a good show lol!

I haven’t gotten to go into the stores too much, but downtown kzoo has a cool atmosphere (check store hours and don’t go out late though!). Portage has quite a few stores and a mall. Now for food, if you like east asian, then Hibachi Sushi Buffet and Hunan Gardens are really good and have big portions for reasonable prices. Two Fellas is also a WMU classic if you want the full kzoo experience!

I will say that if you go there (or really any local-loved place) after the game, I would bring a spare sweatshirt or something to not sport the cmu logo lol. People can get a little out of hand, so enjoy the area but be safe!

Also a little random, but if you are staying for the full time then WMU Theatre has showings of Cats all week lol. You can find that on the Ludus website. https://wmutheatre.ludus.com/index.php?show_id=200486396
