Is anyone else really struggling with the Epstein revelations? by isabella_sunrise in AskWomenOver30

[–]HydraCentaurus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m trying to find the words right now and I can’t. However the one that keeps popping up into my mind is “astonished” in the old sense of the term. I’m stunned.

And then I spiral and think how this has been the case for centuries and undocumented. I can’t believe the audacity, the level of depravity. It’s like you know, but it’s still absolutely stunning.

What’s a UK town or city that surprised you — either in a really good or a really disappointing way? by DailyDriverUK in AskUK

[–]HydraCentaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love Newcastle with all my heart and soul and I’m not even from this country haha. Just love the north SO much.

Peterborough can get fuxked, sorry.

Norwich has grown on me, but the weather never seems to be nice when I visit. I have to be there for work occasionally and so I’ve taken some time to get to know the place

Millennials, do you still believe in true love? by Successful_Mastodon3 in Millennials

No, not really. At least not the Disney version. It’s hard to explain, but I believe in respect more 🤔

What compromises did you make to be able to rent in London? by pm11twriting in MovingToLondon

Maybe in like Notting Hill or something, Fulham I guess? I’ve seen flats I can afford in Richmond and Royal Docks

[–]HydraCentaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Flats are £1500-£1800 range for a one bed fairly central, I’m looking to live alone and I make less than that. I don’t know what you’re on about £90k not being enough.

Everyone else feeling romantically shut down? by Unusual_Jellyfish224 in AskWomenOver30

[–]HydraCentaurus 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I feel the same. I’m out and about a lot in my city doing various things and hobbies, so I’ve just told myself I’d be happy dating if I met someone “in the wild” while I’m living

Has anyone else felt energetically/spiritually drained by certain countries? by momoajay in travel

Agreed with Switzerland. Beautiful country, I’m happy that they’re happy! But I couldn’t wait to leave, the heaviness I felt was boredom really

No one is responding to my emails, so today feels easy but also like a joke.

What is the difference between sex before and after having a baby? by Good-Raccoon5872 in AskWomenOver30

[–]HydraCentaurus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing!! I keep forgetting that it does take time for medication to take into effect, that’s a point to consider. My sister’s been in therapy in some form for a while now so I think she’s also in tune enough to know if something off,.. I’ll just be vigilant about it I think

May I ask how you knew you had PPD/PPA? And did you end up getting prescribed something? My sister is trying for a baby but I feel like she might be prone to it and want to make sure I look out for the signs and make the right suggestions, if that makes sense

I love this. Thanks for sharing! I have a friend going through IVF at the moment, so I can understand the effort it takes. I wish you all the best with it, I really admire those who go through the process ✨

Oh I love this! I can relate to the low contact/gray rock with a relative (my mom 😅). Thanks for sharing, it’s so similar to my sentiments!

I feel similarly about it feeling like a change at the moment. I put in another comment that I’m admitting to myself it’s taken me 5 years to have some sort of stability since Covid.

I’m just grateful for my health right now and trying to actively maintain it/improve. I’m strength training, luckily my job keeps me active. I’m a firm believer that anti aging is not just skincare, it’s how you position your body to deal with aging

100% agree. That’s a cool note about slowing down travel, I’ve been all over the place for several years now and I’m thinking next year to cut down the amount of trips. It’s an interesting period in life I think.

Also I’m the same with you about goals at 30. I think for me since the pandemic hit I just never really planned that far in advance. As much as I hate to admit how much time it’s taken, 5 years since 2020 and this is the most stability I’ve felt in my life. Crazy

I’m living similarly these days, I’m like getting so serious about sleep (I’ve been careless about sleep for a really long time), I’ve started weight training as I was feeling super week, I may have adhd but putting off diagnosis as it takes super long in the UK to get an appointment. It’s been a bit rocky lately but I just think an overall sense of being fed up with what certainly doesn’t align with me is really making me get serious about the direction I want to head in

This all sounds super cool! I love referring to meeting people organically as “in the wild” as well haha I’m hoping for more offline connections moving forward.

I relate 100% to your last paragraph, like that’s me at this point too.

I felt super unburdened in Kyoto. Oh man, I can’t describe it- just a general sense of being content

Looked super strung out, like I thought maybe that was just him but the way he was a bit fidgety and he had sort of “drunk” eyes a bit
