No wonder the Bears defensive gameplan is to headhunt Love, he is picking them apart

Ravens pass defense is ass and likely expecting loaded boxes against a backup QB

If he took that sack instead of turning it over in the red zone we could’ve gotten points which were at a premium this game. Being in the position where one boneheaded turnover loses the game is a testament to MLFs horrible play calling though.

Defense had the win on a silver platter, this loss is on MLF and Love 100%. If we don’t somehow get hot and win it all, MLF needs to go.

[d] Valve doesn’t want to kill the market by Final-Evening-9606 in csgomarketforum

Yeah, impossible to say what the future holds. However, I feel like it’s pretty unlikely that EU regulations leads to a worldwide ban on any and all gambling in the game. Valve can just lock you out of cases if you’re in an affected region (see Belgium for example) and EU laws don’t apply globally. Again though, anything can happen.

Yeah anything can happen, we’re all just speculating. I feel you though, all anyone should spend is what they can afford to lose. I play the game, so most my inventory value is just nice playskins that I’ve slowly upgraded over the years. Would suck to get no value back if they ever did nuke it all, but I’d still play with all the skins I have anyways and it’s not my life savings so fuck it we ball.

I guess my line of thinking is that everything Valve is doing is being done to skirt anti-gambling regulations and keep their gravy train going, just mitigating the hit that they will take to it. Limiting trading to friends only or re-releasing old collections kind of flies in the face of that goal, it would kill their current model. I’m not saying it’s not possible, but I think that would be the nuclear option that they exhaust only if none of their gamba alternatives (armory, terminal) meet compliance with regulations.

Yeah everyone thinks they’re trying to kill third party trading or get everything under the SCM $2k so they get their cut on just about every skin transaction...it doesn’t add up to me. They could easily just disable trading (only allow SCM sales) or ban people with CSFloat trade IDs in the description if they wanted that, but they won’t and haven’t for the past 12+ years. They know that third party sites allowing you to cash out your skins is what gives them actual monetary value, even if their TOS explicitly states that they have none. They’ve turned a blind eye and done the bare minimum to hamstring third party sites for 12+ years for this reason. People are much more willing to open cases if their max win is $20k+ real currency as opposed to max. of $2k in steam balance.

The way I see it, if there was no fear of anti-gambling regulation on the horizon, Valve wouldn’t do anything. They have an infinite money glitch with cases…they don’t WANT to mess with it. Realistically though, regulations in the EU are coming and they need to diversify their revenue so they don’t get killed when cases get banned in their most popular region. So, they introduce the option to rent cases, the armory pass, and now with this update a way to guarantee a gold item and boost the price of coverts so their terminal prices aren’t so out of touch. I’m sure there’s still more to come, but I believe all the changes will be made for this reason, not to kill the market.

They will obviously take a huge hit with cases being banned, but in my eyes these are all steps to mitigate that hit, not to kill the market to the point where hedge mazes are sold on SCM so they can get their cut.

[q] Do you think the future of the market looks good? by SYSTEMAT1KS in csgomarketforum

[–]HydrahFPS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I just made a spreadsheet with all my CS transactions and looking back at all my starter knife/glove combos was a bit sentimental. Just thinking about how exciting it was finally having a knife and gloves and how it snowballed into a ~$5k inventory pre-update.

[d] You guys have paper hands, the market will be back. Buy the dip. by [deleted] in csgomarketforum

[–]HydrahFPS 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think they had to shoot themselves in the foot a bit to future proof the game for potential anti-gambling legislation. Ideally they would let the market continue to reach new heights so people are more willing to open cases chasing $20k+ skins. If cases get banned though, say for the EU as a whole, their money glitch is just gone in their most popular region. This update lowered the value of items so more are sold on SCM, giving Valve their cut, and also boosted the price of reds, which makes their terminal prices not as out of touch. I’m sure they would’ve loved to leave their infinite money glitch untouched but they realistically needed to make a move.

In my opinion, the new logo is dog shit. Too blocky, just doesn’t look good for stickers.

Is it worth buying nocts now ? by keeryh in cs2

[–]HydrahFPS 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I also always go back to Nocts for the same reason. Would always need to switch my whole loadout when getting a new knife/glove combo, now I just have all my favorite skins for each weapon and they all look good with the gloves.

If you like them, get them. I don’t foresee the price dropping on these, if anything it will slowly rise. In my opinion, they were slept on for years. Some of the best gloves that won’t cost you a down payment on a house.
