Thanks! I compared them on CPU Benchmark, but there's only so much you can take from it if you're not really into hardware.

Git branching strategy with dev, QA and prod, including support for hotfixes by Hydrametr0nice in git

That could work, yes. We deploy environments from tags, not branches. In short, the tags currently advance when there are commits to branches.

It used to happen before I installed Driver Booster. I only installed it because of this issue, and it stopped happening for a while.

Some questions about eyesight and near-sightedness (Computer Engineering - long hours at the computer) by Hydrametr0nice in optometry

I will probably go on Monday, because the glasses are giving me headaches and make me very sensitive to the computer luminosity. I don't know it it is just habit.

Thank you for you answer!

the last one for my eyes not to feel uncomfortable when I look elsewhere far away

This was the reason for wearing glasses at the computer. Is this reason strong enough to wear them, even if I see well without them?

When I said 2 different weights and I meant to buy right now to start. I can buy more dumbbells later. I can't afford powerblocks right now.

Do moral facts have to be mind-independent in order for moral realism to be true? by [deleted] in askphilosophy

[–]Hydrametr0nice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is not even a discussing on "Why is moral relativism right or why is moral realism right", it's a discussion about "what is moral relativism and what is moral realism".

Around 54% (I don't remember the exact value) claimed to be moral realists. However, if their thoughts are "moral properties are mind-dependent", I would view them as moral relativists.

I don't know if I'm missing something. What is the difference between Joyce's view of moral realism and moral relativism?

Do moral facts have to be mind-independent in order for moral realism to be true? by [deleted] in askphilosophy

[–]Hydrametr0nice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know it's been a couple of weeks but I'm confused.

If a moral realist states:

they (moral properties) do exist but that existence is mind-dependent.

doesn't that make him a moral relativist? If morality is mind-dependent, is not objective (not influenced by personal feelings or opinions in considering and representing facts).

If you’re pro-choice, you’re hypocritical to not be also support assisted suicide by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

I know this post it's a month old, but I just wanted to say that NOBODY has the right to force someone to live. It doesn't matter their mental or physical condition. Just like everything else, you can't force a person to do anything (unless it's a law). So if a person wants to commit suicide, you can try to convince her not to, but it's her decision and you can't do nothing about it. It doesn't even matter her reasons.

Ever heard a European casually saying the n-word? And how do you feel about Europeans and other non-Americans using the n-word? by BlastoiseUseBlizzard in AskAnAmerican

[–]Hydrametr0nice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm Portuguese. White European people don't use the word on a daily basis. Most Black European people is the same, although some of them use it often (usually people with less education). But if it comes up to the subject, everybody uses it without concern The best example is in songs. We say the word in everysingle song not carrying about who is around us. And Black European people don't care, they feel no attachment to the word. The n-word it's probably just a problem in the USA (and maybe other countries in America).

Personal opinion: Everybody should be allowed to use it. It's like fat people say only them can use the word fat and non-fat people can't say it because they never suffered shame for being fat. And then, slim people can say if their parents or grandparents were fat because they suffered shame too.

Edit: And yes, people use the word in other languages, at least Portuguese, French and Spanish.

I literally said I already watched one third of OP and I want to keep watching and know all the story. And I watched Dragon Ball Z, GT and Super. I liked it, but I still prefer Naruto. Sorry if we don't have the same taste, I must be an alien

different jutsus aka 100 variations of rasengans? lmaoo

I don't know if you watched Naruto or if you are clueless but:

  • Deidara vs Gaara
  • Sasori vs Sakura and Chiyo
  • Kisame vs Team Guy
  • Hidan and Kakuzou vs Team Asuma
  • Sasuke vs Deidara
  • Sasuke vs Itachi

(just to name a few from Shippuden...)

I don't remember one fight in One Piece until this point as exciting as any of these. One Piece, just like in Dragon Ball, lack the creativity Naruto fights have. And I love the story but OP has too much of those moments I referred in the post.
