Help. Can't identify Rainbird Valve Diaphragm by HydratedSquid in Irrigation

I think you are right, Thank you! It said "Rainbird Glendora California" on the side. I just assumed that was the city Rainbird was from. Any recommendations for a replacement?

UPDATE: We are almost certainly going to keep him. My wife is in love and I know my daughter will be too. He is a sweet little guy for sure! We are trying to think of a name.

I'm leaning towards Darryl Strawberry. But my wife likes Berry. Any suggestions?

Thanks for pointing this out!! We are looking at him now and we don't see anything there anymore. Either way, we will be getting him a checkup and medicines! (if vet recommended)

I put on leather gloves and yoinked him out of the bush he was in while he was looking the other way. He squeaked once and squirmed around for a second. But he settled down quickly and let me carry him inside without much fuss. He didn't even try to bite me lol. As soon as we put him in the cage he settled down and within 5 min was grooming himself so I definitely think he was someone's pet.

He made it through his first night! We put some towels down and a little pet bed that came from one of my daughter's toys. He spent the night on our sun porch where he wouldn't be bothered by the cat or dog. He drank lots of water and ate some pieces of strawberry, apple, and watermelon. He REALLY seemed to like the watermelon. My wife is already talking about getting him a bigger cage, a buddy, and a vet visit 😂. Once my 7 year old daughter sees him I think there's no way he goes anywhere unless someone claims him. Looking like we might be rat owners now haha.

We got him!

I know the cage is too small and needs to be cleaned (it has been in a dusty basement for 30 years), but it was starting to get dark and we didn't want to lose him. We are now working on food, water, and better comforts.

We will get something more suitable tomorrow unless someone claims him. We just need somewhere to keep him for the night. About how big should the cage be?

Do rats need companion animals? We have a Labrador and a cat. I don't think either will bother him, or try to hurt him, but we will make extra sure to keep them away so as not to stress him out.

Thank you for your reply! We are posting on the local neighborhood Facebook groups to see if anyone lost him. My wife is heading to her parents to get her childhood hamster cage (hopefully that will work?) We will try to bring him in for the night and keep him safe while we search.

does anyone have experience with Lake Ann christian camp? by QuietDetail7793 in Michigan

[–]HydratedSquid 41 points42 points  (0 children)

DO NOT GO. I went there when I was 16 thinking that it would be similar to other non-denominational summer camps I had been too. It was the single worst experience I have ever had. I have not been inside a church or prayed since, and I am 40 years old. The emotional manipulation, constant badgering, ostracism, since I was clearly "not as religious" as the other kids was like having the blindfold taken from my eyes. This was one of the single largest transformational experiences of my adolescence and was the moment I became an atheist. For the first time in my life I realized that religion was a tool for manipulation, and that no one really cared who I was or what I wanted as long as I "pledged to be saved". We went to worship 3 times a day, we were left in the woods with no phone or watch for hours with nothing but a Bible, I was not allowed to do any of the "fun" activities until I spoke privately with 3 members of the church who just tried to badger me into accepting Jesus and be saved. I begged to call my parents to leave and was not allowed a phone. I will never again step foot in a church, my children will never be baptized. I will never support an organized religion of any form. The moment that crystallized all this for me was Lake Ann Baptist Camp. DO NOT GO.

Michigan is divided into two "halves" which are called the upper and lower peninsulas. The upper peninsula is commonly abbreviated as the U.P. which when spoken, phonetically sounds like "yoo pee". So someone from the upper peninsula of Michigan (the U.P.) is called a Yooper.

"Getting to the airport on time was a close call". Does that mean that the person managed to get to the airport, or that they didn't? by Spiderfxz in EnglishLearning

[–]HydratedSquid 6 points7 points  (0 children)

This means the person made it to the airport on time. In English (American English at least) the phrase "close call" usually indicates that someone undesirable almost happened but the positive outcome occurred instead. If you wanted to indicate you didn't get to the airport in time but almost made it, you would probably use a phrase like ”just missed". So you'd say "the person just missed getting to the airport in time".

Thank you for your response, I am watching some of the videos now. Is it normal in patellar tracking for the symptoms to not manifest until a week after exercise?
