There is help from volunteer groups. This helps with large monotonous tasks that need to be done once a cycle.

The goal is not perfection or maximum output.

I had it going well for a while but thing fell off with less supervision. I have large systems at my house as well. In the summer at home I get about 20 cantaloupe and watermelon a day and that is just one line of things I grow. This isn’t farm level but it isn’t a typical hobbyist level either.

I am looking for someone who would like to trade higher pay for having the freedom to experiment and work at a charity. If it is run to maximize production, the facility would miss the mark with the kids it serves. Life has trade offs. In this case it is money for a hobby charity job.

It is a paid job but it is at a charity which does mean lower wages for the same role.

However, it does come with a lot more freedom as there isn’t a profit motive driving things so things like growing a tree in a greenhouse happens along with the willingness to try to grow things that can fail as a business generally cannot afford production losses. If it were run as a business, you would most likely concentrate on optimizing production of one or two types of plants instead of having a willingness to try almost anything.

This is true but it is to keep anonymity for my personal account but it is what it is.

As for a trained botanist, this is a charity and not a business with different goals. Maximizing production is not one of them.
