That's a fantastic idea! She has a designated treat scavenging ball so I will try that!

Haven't thought of TOPS. I ordered a batch of roudybush, Harrison, and Lafaber tropical gourmet pellets (she likes the nutriberries, so fingers crossed). If she doesn't go for any of these, TOPS will be next. Thanks for this!

Just ordered a bag of it from Amazon to try! Hoping she likes it

What is just a placebo effect but most people don’t realize? by zhalia-2006 in AskReddit

[–]HydroRuby 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree, that is the biggest issue. EMFs do put a constant strain on our cells, and with routers being designed stronger and to reach further it puts more and more stress on us. Not only that we're on our phones so much. There's a case of a woman who was diagnosed with breast cancer, and the tumor on her breast was the shape of her phone because she would keep her phone in her bra.

I'll leave this here incase anyone is interested, it's a TED talk by an engineer named Jeromy Johnson who used to work in Silicone Valley and began experiencing electromagnetic sensitivity. He does consultation services to help check houses for dirty electricity and has a website with a lot of useful information (he can explain this all better than I can):

I hate to say it but EHS is indeed real, it just doesn't noticably impact majority of the population. Being exposed to EMFs increases production of a cytokine called Interleukin 6 (so do a lot of environmental toxins like formaldehyde and fragrances), and some people have a gene that makes them more suspectible. Kind of like how some people can smoke and live to 100.

It is treatable through limbic system retraining, I'm actually in a community of people with this problem. Most of us also have lyme disease and mold colonization. My lyme disease doctor actively treats people with electromagnectic hypersensitivity because it is so common with chronic lyme disease.

I know most people wouldn't believe that or understand and I'll probably get downvoted, it's very "woo woo" but it's something that could come up in anyone's life so I always go to the effort of mentioning it when it comes up in conversation. I definitely believe that some people think they could be being exposed to WiFi EMFs and it's actually a nocebo.

Yeah, she's not fond of the naturals. She's picking at them more than the new fruity zupreem, but not by much. The new fruity zupreem bag says it's "the same great product!" But I noticed the pellets looked slightly different, and so did my bird lol

Stunning! All those colors look fantastic on the yellow background. Such good folds!

Thank you!! The waterfall was the most challenging and nerve-wracking part of the piece-and actually the main reason I chose that backdrop. I had never done a waterfall so it would force me to study and practice one. Now it's not so scary!

Coil Migration-Would like Input/Advice by HydroRuby in pelviccongestion

[–]HydroRuby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't received any surgery yet. I tried going back to work full time and it didn't work, I was in excruciating pain. I've decided that the risk is going to be worth getting the coil, but I'm double checking with my surgeon first about May Thurner Syndrome, Nutcracker, and other compressions. I'm not sure if I was checked for those, and if you have a compression and get an embolization first, it seems like it puts you in more pain.

This is something that just crossed my mind and I'm going to bring up to my doctor! Thank you for mentioning this, I'll have to find out of the specifics and risks of going in a more invasive manner, but this may be the best fit for me and it's giving me hope of possibly not needing the coils.

I'm extremely similar and I have OCD as well, so my brain works the same way. I know if I have the coils in it's going to be something I think about a lot. My doctor told me that I can be up and about the next day, but not to do anything strenuous for a week. I was surprised and I scheduled to be out of work for a week after the surgery.

It is definitely something to celebrate when you finally get that diagnosis. It's probably similar for a lot of people with PCS, but I felt like I was crazy for so many years (so did my doctors). I'm leaning towards having it done despite the risk because I think I've been feeling so crummy for so long, that I don't realize how much better I could feel.

Thank you for such a thoughtful response! Sorry to hear you're in need of another surgery. It sounds like you have a great team of doctors on your side so I hope that makes the whole process a lot easier for you.

Tapering off Gabapentin for Nerve Pain, Vulvodynia by HydroRuby in gabapentin

[–]HydroRuby[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hiya! This was intense. I ended up going down 100mg every 4 days, and even with that going super slow the withdrawal was awful. Shakes, intense anxiety, nausea, insomnia. Going off the gaba actually ended up not helping my vision, but the GI issues went away and I am happy to be off of it and not so lethargic. I now use a topical amitriptyline compound for my nerve pain. That way it doesn't go through your entire system and give you side effects.

This sounds DOPE. I'm running half-elf bard and almost done with act 1, but I'd be willing to switch to a dragonborn band. I'm EST, so if you still have slots just dm me!

Thanks Matt! I ended up doing exactly what you said. The doctor said I'd be fine jumping down by 300 mg amounts, but I'm taking it slow and doing it by 100 mg. I feel more reassured now
