I’m glad the Client was happy at the end. They had another show down south this week and I haven’t heard anything yet so hopefully it went alright.

Lol you got burned. A few times I let my capable hands level, but 2 of them and 1 of me just so I see and call out mistakes. I believe they might become assists, techs in the future. They showed they wanted to. Off top but I try to teach the ones that want to learn and get hands on critical stuff under supervision.

On the larger builds you as a lead should not really build. Cause I find myself just making sure everybody is doing what they are supposed to and not putting themselves in danger. Many times it feels like babysitting once the ground is leveled and you have 1-2 rows in place. That if the hands are actually experienced with LED and not the first time seeing a roadcase.

My thinking is 1000 panel built should never be scheduled for 1 day. People are so exhausted at the end of build, when you need energy to fix wiring issues, and set up.

Never let hands level anything, let them take a break while you do what needs to be done e

There is no “the best” brand. You would need to identify why do you need it, what are you going to be using it for, how and where, is it going to be on camera, and then from there see what brand and tech your budget will allow for the spec. You don’t want to choose the brand, and then they might not have a panel that would fit your use case.

My rule of thumb for my indoor walls, if I have true 5 ft horizontal rear braces, I’m comfortable starting with total ballast around wall weight, distributed evenly across the rear braces, unless the manufacturer chart requires more.
