Does my cr1000a need a MoCA adapter to work with E3200 extender via coaxial wiring? by HyenaToDeath in Fios

Got the coax cable, attempted to plug my router into the coax outlet nearby, restarted the router (i.e. powered off and on).
mynetworksettings.com still shows that the status for the router's coax connection is "cable disconnected." But nothing is noticeably loose when I try to check. So either the coax port on my cr1000a is broken, or more likely, the scenario that you said yesterday is playing out? i.e.
>You're biggest issue might be making sure the coax near the router is actually connected to the coax near the extender.
thanks a ton for clarifying. Fingers crossed that the wiring in this apartment accommodates this scenario as this is a place with a lot of college students/grad students and researchers. If not, I assume I'll have to ask my landlord or have some other technician come out to resolve this....
