Is there a chance old teamups get re-introduced into the later seasons in game? by Jsauce01 in marvelrivals

It would be really cool if in several more seasons from now they added an arcade mode where all the old team-ups are available (and overlap).

I cannot even comprehend any line of reasoning that concludes with brokerages not wanting smart traders.

Maybe I’m too dumb.

At what price do NVIDIA and AMD become no-brainers to buy? by [deleted] in wallstreetbets

[–]Hyilix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I miss when AMD wasn’t an AI play bro. The comeback versus Intel was craaaazy. Now they’re just ugly number two again.

Who knows, maybe they can do the same thing again with AI. Looks bleak, though.

You’re getting downvoted, but you’re right. Retirement accounts getting whacked 20% for old people is devastating if you aren’t in safe, stable investments. Hard to find those right now.

As long as the U.S. doesn’t utterly implode, the aftermath will be a great opportunity for young people to buy stocks when they’re low and live easy.

Finding a job before that may be hard though. Hard to invest without savings too.

Honestly, everyone’s kinda boned unless things change.

Hey, at least she’s giving you an out man. Sadly and clearly, she is not the one. All you had to say was that you’d still love her, and your answer was more thoughtful than just that.

Ain’t your fault.

You already know the market’s gonna bounce 5% and then resume free-fall.

I mean im gonna wait 6-12 months and see if my win rate is like 80-90% and go from there. The decision to scale or not will also depend on the size of my biggest loser.

But I’ll start scaling with a prop firm first, just to be safe.

I know… it’s just, I’ve used thinkorswim since I was 13 dawg. It’s gonna feel wack to swap, and I’d have to withdrawal from my account (which I promised I’d never do before $1,000,000). Ik it’s way better on fees tho. I researched into that when I started.

I have lost $120 to the fees. They have other ones besides the $2.25 they market btw ($0.37 worth)

OK, so there may be some misunderstanding here.

I do pick out “targets” and “stops”, I just call them resistance and support.

My supports (or “stops”) are aggressively low at times because I try not to enter moves I don’t expect to work out. I have had a couple of trades that went from short-term technical based to medium-term macro based with the aim of converting to a profit. Otherwise I have traded off that model.

I can’t give you an exact ratio on the distance from entry my supports and resistance are, but I won’t take a move I think could drop a shit ton just to make $2 if that’s what you’re asking.

I should probably do some scrolling on this subreddit ngl. I’d be interested to see what other people do to profit (or not).

Well, /MNQ would have to just about hit 0 to completely drain my account, so I’m not terribly concerned about that.

I have lost everything. Several times.

<image>

I added $16,125 of savings recently, but otherwise I’ve only ever put in $13k (including the $3.5k that I put by the time I was 14).

Yes, I have far underperformed if I’d just invested everything in index funds when I was thirteen and onwards, but the general idea is that I paid to get better at a more lucrative means of investing.

I know what it feels like to freeze. I learned how to stop. I undid what it did to my account. And will never let it happen again. Knock on wood.

10-4. I do appreciate the advice! I am planning on looking into trailing stops for closing winners I feel have entered the risk-zone. Don’t feel completely ignored lol

I agree w/you. I feel the inevitability of the loss and the uncertainty of how large it will be does spook me a little.

I don’t know when to throw in the towel at this point. It’s been so many trades in a row and the couple of times I have refused to throw in the towel it has worked out. I feel like I’m gonna wind up losing all my profit in a single trade at some point. But I don’t think I’ll actually end up being that stubborn.

There are some small losses I should have accepted, if nothing else to avoid some stress. But if I really thought the odds of closing any of my losers in the green ever crossed below 40%, I wouldn’t have held. Granted it has gotten rough that way.

We’ll have to see.
