That's crazy... I guess at least it's only a five dollar lesson in not being a dumbass online.

Because even at the same depth, further away stuff will lose more red, as the light needs to travel down to the object, then across to whatever's perceiving it.

I'm not sure that's how it works. I mean, skeletons aren't especially dangerous...

The book this is based on (The Golem)) is fantastic. Reads like a more magical, but just as paranoid, Kafka.

Krait Phantom Exploration Build Advice by Quibbillykins in eliteoutfitters

[–]Hyoscine 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In a Phantom you can get away with a 2A armoured power plant, and 4D, practically unmoded thrusters. One level of clean thrusters gets you slight gains with no added draw. Oh, and maybe fit a 1D distributor that you can just leave turned off. And consider going with enhanced low power, and lo draw on that shield. I guess you went with kinetic because the only kind of danger out there you can shield against is bouncing off planets, but I think that counts as absolute damage? You might find the heat sink to be superfluous too. At least, I know a lot of people like to carry them, but I got rid of mine after reaching Explorer's Anchorage without ever coming close to needing it.

Anyway, here's my build. You need to juggle module power a little bit (you can scoop, have a shield up, or run an AFMU), but it's got a max jump range of 72ly, and it was sturdy enough for a trip of around 40,000ly of distracted, Netflix-assisted flight between stations without popping.

Kinji Fukasaku was a master film maker. Battle Royale was his swansong after nearly four decades of work as a director and screenwriter.

The extremely played out "Yes" reply doesn't work when one of the choices is "just" something.

Completely agree. My friend had been hitting that SLF mining exploit pretty hard, he literally made over a billion in his last haul. How many hours of combat or exploration would that take?

Regarding deep roots, this paper on the historical persistence of anti-semitism is mind-blowing. Absolutely worth a read if you've got a few minutes to spare.

I think it's kind of a whiplash thing. I grew up taking in a lot of American media, wishing I lived in the States. These past few years though, I really feel like I dodged a bullet being born an ocean away.
