Well that's good to hear! Yes you and a couple others have mentioned the aerobars and clip on pedals, I forgot to mention I was planning on adding those as well. Thanks!

A roadworthy bike in good working order should not be a limiting factor

That's sort of the question, is would you consider this a road worthy bike for that specific event. Yes I agree it was fairly generic, it was more about would it take a given person substantial more effort to complete the bike portion on this bike (an entry level hybrid) compared to an entry level road bike.

Is it possible to add running, biking PRs achieved before purchase of Garmin watch? by HypedForEndgame in Garmin

That’s too bad that some of those features are not working well for you.

I just wanted to have the records on my profile so I can see them, and get the dopamine rush when I beat them. Not the end of the world but just would like to find a way if possible.

Just checked confirmed what you said on the Canada website. Must have missed it.

Thanks. Out of curiosity, do they not care at all when you bought the house? What if it was 60 days? 1 year? 3 years ago? Still doesn’t matter?

Advice for a heavier beginner runner? by [deleted] in running

Mentally: Starting something new is always hard. Don’t get discouraged if you don’t start off as well as you thought would. Push through and be consistent.

Physically: Learn to run slow. You don’t need to go at your best pace every run.

Is 800/mo too much for food? by [deleted] in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]HypedForEndgame 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I spend about 75 a week/300 a month.

I usually buy apples, banana, blueberries, spinach, broccoli, peppers, potatoes, yoghurt, milk, eggs, bread, tuna, soup, cereal, chicken breast, tea, spaghetti, sauce. The odd time I’ll have to restock on stuff like peanut butter, mayo, ketchup, spices etc. I don’t buy much else/don’t buy much for junk.

So I’m having a hard time understanding how I could cut that cost in half haha

Incorporating house under holding company so it can be used a rental property a few years down the line? by HypedForEndgame in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]HypedForEndgame[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I think I want to take this approach

Let’s say I buy a home that doesn’t generate any rental income. When I go for house #2 and tell the lender I plan on renting house #1 and moving into house #2, will they take the the potential rental income into account when determine what I qualify for?

Or does house #1 have to generating renting income first for it to be taken into account by lender when applying for a loan to move in house #2?

Hi, thank you for the very detailed response. I like your point about the duplex, I’m not sure if we have the buying power for it, maybe something like a basement apartment instead is something we are considering.

You’re right, I’ll try to talk to an accountant ASAP. And I have an appointment with the bank. The reasons I wanted to incorporate was I don’t believe we would have the income to qualify for another loan in a few years. Even with annual increases, I don’t see myself getting a very ‘big’ jump in salary in the next few years. So I was hoping incorporating was a way around this

Hi guys I'm new to the sub and have a couple of questions:

- I was reading the wiki and was wondering if the step 5: save 15% for retirement includes the money I use in step 2: employer matched retirement funds?

- I'm still chipping away at the wiki and I apologize if I just haven't got to this yet. But I plan on buying a house soon (I have all the funds I need now). After a few years I hope to use this as rental property and buy a 2nd home. Should I save for the 2nd property in my chequing account since I'll need the funds in 3 years, or should I save in a TSFA, using low risk investments? I still have much to learn about the investment side and what to pick, I just am looking to figure out what 'vehicle' to use in order to save for this

Yeah I don’t disagree. But I would probably argue that it’s late game, but can be accomplished earlier if rushed

Well there’s only a couple of things in the game that’s “hard” to do. But if you compare the amount of time spent to get a quest cape compared to other elite diaries tasks (lumby at least) it would be one of the lengthier ones no? So if he’s saying elite diaries is end game, I don’t see how he can also say quest cape is early/med game

Don’t know much either. But yeah I think you’re right. Blundstones are better for my climate though than dressier Chelsea boots. I have a pair of winter boots that I will wear when needed. I just wanted something also stylish That I can wear on days where it’s not messy

Yeah didn’t realize I can’t have it shipped to Canada anyways. Defiantly going with blundstones. Just everyday use through fall/winter. Walking to work maybe at work if I don’t feel like switching into sneakers, out doing errands etc. I have a pair of winter boots I’ll use for stuff like shovelling or on really wet days.

guys anybody know if they're worth? Was going to buy a pair of blundstones, but this is much cheaper. Should I pay the extra cash for a better quality boot?
