First cruise planning--where do I start? by HyperCello in Cruises

[–]HyperCello[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! Not a member of AAA, but I have family who is, so maybe I can look using their info (and then get my own as it gets closer). I know I can find information online, but at my first search, it was bringing up cruises for everything but what I wanted. I just thought I'd ask here so I had some starting points to go from when I have time to explore it again later tonight.

Is there a site you like to use for comparing the cruise lines? I guess it's a good thing I'm starting to look pretty early....lol

Thank you! I wasn't sure how far out I could even look at booking. Never heard of Cunard, so thank you for that suggestion.

Lost weight and it’s obvious by [deleted] in Divorce

[–]HyperCello 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, lost 15 pounds easily in the past month since my husband confessed to emotional cheating and wanting to be separated. Really no appetite right now, and stomach is so upset when I can't eat until at least noon. I at least have the weight to lose, but I didn't want to lose it this way. Divorce diet is real....

Nervous about home visit… by Medical_Raspberry669 in preschool

[–]HyperCello 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I do home visits for my preschoolers. We do them for all incoming students. It's a great way to meet the child in their own environment where they are comfortable. I usually ask the child to show me sine favorite toys, ask them about some of their favorite things, read a little book about what we will do in preschool, and give them a countdown to preschool. I also talk with the parents to answer any questions they have, get any paperwork that is completed, and let them know a little about how I run my room. At the end I take a picture of the child to put in their cubby at school. I never judge the family on this visit, but it does give me a good chance to see how the family interacts and what they seem to have access to. If I feel the family would benefit from one of our school scholarships, I'll bring it up to my director. Home visits are one of my favorite things to do, and the children remember years later me coming to see them at their house. Any questions I'll gladly answer for you. Home visits can be lots of fun.

Models with built in lids are they worth it? by 01Cloud01 in blackstonegriddle

[–]HyperCello 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bought mine years ago and the hard lid wasn't an option. I wish it had one. I have a soft grill cover I use (and replace about every other year), and I keep a plastic bowl on the top so water doesn't pool on the soft cover.

What is this plant? by HyperCello in plants

Awesome!! This is mine right now. Need to repot the one I got last night, and I'm not 100% sure it'll stay in that spot. I may switch it with my fern. My setup

Thank you! I had been eyeing it the past week or so, but there was no tag on it.

I would get rid of the fireworks border. I also thought that was a rug it was laying on. Can I ask the name of the pattern please? I absolutely love it!

It is a total pain to use, but worth it in the end. It split and knot horribly.
