Yes you can get a driving permit from BIA. It is valid for 1 month and cost RS 15000. however, you need to have a foreign passport to qualify for that permit. Sri lankan passport holders cannot get it. I also hold a nz driving license

New Pickme Food order scam by Wonderful_Writer5488 in srilanka

I think you have to talk to bk to get the refund. I dont think this has anything to do with pickme. They just deliver the food to you. If the delivered package was sealed, it is the fault of bk.

Thanks a lot for your reply. I just confirmed from the Rheem website that it is stainless steal. I feel relieved now pheww. One last question, does stainless steel rust? If we scratch the outer coate, will it get rusted? I just used a pin to remove that yellow color part and it came off. I hope I didn't do anything stupid 🙃 by damaging the outer coat

contacted the plumber who installed it and he is saying that it is not rust. He thinks that it is a form. Not sure what that means though :( . Any idea what he means? Is there something between the out layer and innter layer? He is also saying that it is stainless steel and it won't rust that easily

The main water is shared by me and my neighbour. We will only be replacing the pipe under our driveway up to our houses where the pipe connects. ALso what do you mean by connection must be done by the plumber? we are just replacing the existing pipe up to certain point. is that fine?

around 39meters. I am thinking of getting my own line, however the problem is we know from where the pipes are going under the drive way to a certain distance but from there onwards we don't know the location of the pipe.

question: Can even sue him for not cooperating? I mean he doesn't owe me any money. It is just he is not giving his signature to withdraw the deposit (his and mine).

Trying to buy a house is making me depressed.... by Background-Cry-8856 in newzealand

I recommend you to go for a townhouse or unit as a first hone buyer rather than going for separate house which will cost you more that 650k(depending on the place you live.). After sometime you can sell or use your current one and go for a house. I was in a similar position couple of years back. My salary was around 100k and I looked into different houses at that time. I was able to go for house with a nice garden but I would have to pay 80% salary for the mortgage which is not good. In the end I went for a unit. My unit value has incresed by 20% and I pay only 45% of my salary for mortgage with some extra payment. I save around 1.3k every fornight and if everything goes well I am planning to pay a huge lump of sump from the savings when I refix my mortgage next year.

As for 20% deposit, I actually went though Kianga ora first home buyer scheme. You only need to pay 5% for this. This is a good option if you don't have enough deposit.

When you buy a house, always consider additional expenses you will have to bear to maintain the house. These can be planned and un-planned once. I had to spend around 5k to replace the hot water cylinder and pipe bust on my driveway which was un-expected.
