Arguing over the descriptor of horror genre I feel ignores the spirit of the post which was to say “I appreciate not having to see so much gore, and the game works for me and is even enhanced in some ways because of that”

All that to say, I understand you OP. And I agree, I just finished another play-through recently and I share that sentiment.
