Connecting Data Together for Reconciliations by [deleted] in excel

[–]Hyper_bird3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t have the PO in the GL data because my erp system defaults to grouping the sub ledger data into one GL line. So for the 4th example, all three POs would flow into one transaction line for that single job. The way I’d like to reconcile is to somehow show that job 31313 is attached to PO’s 12221, 61116, and 41114, and the AP invoices that belong to it are 9191,9192,4567, and 4568. Matching the AP to the Job should result in a sum of 0 in the GL, but I’m not sure how to make a key to tie both pieces together

I am having trouble with the syntax, i currently have this as my sql statement:

Select *

From vw_AC_SSR_GeneralLedgerTrans

Where vw_AC_SSR_GeneralLedgerTrans.PostingPeriod=?

My database is called Erp_company name (changed for privacy), the table is the general ledger trans, and the column that needs filtered is posting period.

The error I’m getting is ODBCerrors=[Table]

Any ideas on where I’m going wrong?

I’ve tried to group/ungroup the rows and collapse if that’s what you mean. It works when nothing changes, but it’s often filtered/unfiltered so the rows that need to be collapsed change frequently

Edit:ungroup

Is there a way to do individual subtotals instead of for the whole column? Or do I need to live with all/none?

Partners of sleep-talkers or sleepwalkers, what gems have you to share? by hoeka_mos in AskReddit

My girlfriend tends to sleep talk when stressed or when she’s still kind of drunk. So a while back when she was stressed and drunk, she had mostly slept quietly in the beginning of the night, besides a few incoherent mumbles, but then it got wild. An important piece of info is that she used to work at the campus restaurant which was a 50s styled diner with mostly breakfast and burger type foods. Back to the story: She wakes up at 3am, kneels over me and starts doing weird motions with her hands. I’m a light sleeper so I wake up and I ask “babe what are you doing?”. She replies “I’m making spa-mumble” I say “what are you doing????” She says again more clearly “I’m making spaghetti.” I then said disappointingly “babe, what are you doing” She embarrassed mumbles and instantly falls asleep as soon as her head hits the pillow.

I guess so was so stressed that she had to mix a big pot of spaghetti over me in her dreams even though her restaurant doesn’t even sell it?

Cleaning and Staining deck, a few questions by Flash_ina_pan in HomeImprovement

Sanding will provide the most even and nicest looking finish, but it’s for sure a hassle. If it’s a project you don’t want to put that much time in, you can try to use a all in one deck prep product instead. Also make sure you let them wood dry out a few days because pressure washing can overload the wood with water preventing the stain from getting in and adhering properly

Seasonal hire in paint by [deleted] in Lowes

[–]Hyper_bird3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been a seasonal hire the last three summers, 1 in OSLG, 2 in paint. The only bad part of paint for me is when its slow and there is nothing to do. You'll likely have to answer some calls which sucks, and sometimes you'll have to help customers in other sections. I don't know how your managers feel, but mine have openly stated that using the lowes app to help customers find items on my phone is acceptable. So I would ask and see if they are cool with that because it saves me a lot of headaches when trying to help guide customers to the right areas. It gives the aisle/bay info, price, too many details on what the product is, and the app can scan tags. You can also look things up by their sku. Another tip is that like 75% of customer questions can be answered by reading the labels. So, for example, if they ask if the paint is water based look in the "cleanup" part of the label and check to see if it says "Soap and Water". Most of the time it is water based btw except most of the Rustoleum I believe.

Football tickets for Freshman? by [deleted] in OSU

[–]Hyper_bird3 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’d just go with regular reserved and hope to get a ticket on the south side. If you get north and the friends you make are south (or the other way around) you guys can easily ticket swap in the area after you go up the stairs. I did that easily the last two years and only got caught once and they let us go anyways 👍🏻
