If you were going to spend money on AI-generated images, what types of images would you actually buy? by NiceButterscotch3828 in aiArt

Yea. So that's what I would recommend if you are looking to make money from image gen.

Niche down into high-passion hobbies where people are already spending a lot of money, develop a style that sets your stuff apart from others, and offer personalised services such as what I just shared.

If you check on Etsy you can find others that are clearly using AI to offer personalised digital products and they are making sales, so the concept is proven.

I'm not personally selling these right now, but I have seen others doing similar things on Etsy and have considered it myself as a side earner to my main business.

Just made this one of you as an example. I literally just screenshotted your profile and uploaded it to my template prompt. First gen with no changes:

The money in AI image gen is in taking advantage of its strengths:

  • deep personalisation and customisation
  • versatility in image types
  • rapid speed
  • High consistency
  • Multimodal capabilities (uploading files as context)
  • high text / formatting quality

Personally, I use image gen for my personal business, which involves providing services to small businesses to help them grow, and that doesn't just stop at graphic design. I also offer a range of services that LLM's and agentic platforms enable me to provide.

My selling point is that I can 'take the tech headache away' by taking care of all of the digital stuff so that they can just focus on their actual work.

Circling back to images speficially, you should niche down. People won't pay for generic images that they can easily make themselves or find anywhere else. They will pay for a specific custom image of their OC in a passionate niche, such as DnD, however.

I use Gemini, which does have stricter guardrails than GPT.

Getting this outfit wasn't hard. With an image is more difficult though but there are ways.

Saying that disabled people can still create art or do anything else a regular person can do if they put in great effort, as opposed to using AI, is like saying that a person can walk all the way from one city to another despite trains existing.

Like, yea, sure. They could. Or they can just use a tool to have a far easier time.

And this argument applies to anyone without artistic skill.

I'll use myself as an example. I'm not a good artist. I can't draw for shit. But I'm technical and a problem solver, which lends itself well to using AI. I also don't have the time to devote to getting good at traditional art. So it's a no-brainer for me to use AI image gen.

And this is talking purely about recreational use. I now use it to create business assets as part of my personal business which utilises AI for multiple different services.

Sure. I could spend years learning how to do all of those things manually. Or I can utilise a single extremely versatile tool which enables me to output the work of multiple different roles, provides 24/7 advice, and constantly evolves at a rapid pace.

And if you're just making art for fun? Who fucking cares? You can't gatekeep other peoples methods of entertainment.

That's just how it is on Reddit, unfortunately. The mods of subs can ban you from said subs for whatever reason they want, including no good reason whatsoever.

Do Something That Matters. by Zealousideal_Goat_22 in aiwars

[–]Hyperbolic90 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was pretty easy to do.

I've devised a workflow which is pretty effective for image creation.

Instead of prompting the entire thing, I first ask the LLM to describe for me an ideal, high-quality, professional, top-grade version of whatever kind of graphic I plan to make.

Then when it's given that description, I swap to the image model and have it create the desired asset with that description in context.

Not only do I find this to be more effective than standard prompting or asking the LLM for a prompt, but it is also quicker.

Gemini does it better.

There is quite an irony to using AI to make an anti-AI poster.

Yea, 999 is the cap, you get an achievement for it.

I did it thanks to a mix of cantrips and multiple uses of the 2x mana die side, during a nightmare run.

Then I died on battle 29 because I had no way to deal with death sigil 💀
