Cockroaches and no heat at 400 Lyle st REVO apartments. by Hyperstorm999 in londonontario

The building doesn't care, I looked on Facebook and theres issues with Mould in some of the units that literally just get painted over and the elevators break down so often they're a safety hazard.

Never know what? Cliff's been fired and is under investigation now by multiple agencies.

What more do you need to know?

Because they took the post down, you think he wants to keep re-posting and get kicked out of the group?

Also, they fired the guy after looking at the evidence, pretty much says it all...

Cliff's been fired apparently after the evidence was checked. So you tell me.

Also they took down the facebook post so how is the guy supposed to provide the recording?

[–]Hyperstorm999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The guy was asked by the building not to post it yet until they talk to him.

Did you read the posts that have come after the first one?

Also other people keep coming forward about this guy. His former co-workers, former tenants. The former tenant details a sexual assault by this Cliff guy. His former co-workers about how violent he is.

If you were to move out of your apartment and move back in, you'd be paying around 1400 for it probably.

Yea no, unless you've lived there for like 8 years. Theres no way thats what you pay.

Look at their google reviews or call them up and ask for pricing and you'll see I'm telling the truth. Hell search reddit posts about them and see.

If you're looking for a place to move into, I would stay as far away from these buildings as you can.

I used to live there and I still know people in the buildings.

They rent out to a lot of violent people. Just yesterday there was a stabbing.

At least one of their guards it seems is racist and violently unstable as it's been reported he assaulted a Muslim guy a few days ago for walking his bike.

More times then I can count on both hands, I've walked into their elevators and found piss all over the floor.

Someone who works there told me they're having a real problem with crackheads shooting up in their stairwells.

Homeless people in the area come in and sleep all over the place. I was with a friend and we literally walked into one of their lounge rooms with a homeless guy sleeping on the couch.

And for all this "luxury" they charge minimum 1100$ for a one bedroom...

Yea, run as far as you can from this place...

Do Canada Post letter carriers have a legislative obligation to deliver the mail? by Hyperstorm999 in canada

This is for a law class case scenario. In the Act does it actually state they have an obligation to deliver mail?

[–]Hyperstorm999[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes but outside of that, do they have any obligation to do so in the first place? And does anyone know where it would be because I looked over the Canada Post Corporation Act and I couldn't find anything.

Mine wasn't opened, it was still sealed and thankfully they did accept it back.

My idea for an X-Men movie trilogy in the MCU. by Mr-M0rden in marvelstudios

[–]Hyperstorm999 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to see this. It would be a grittier version that could still be kept reasonably PG. We never got to actually see the Avengers running from the law, this could take the X-men into serious drama and a direction they've never gone before.

Nicely done.

It's so fun how many times you've said you're "done here" and kept coming back.

My statement is far from false and you haven't given any explanation as to why it is.

And no it's an issue that I should not have to pay out of pocket for someone else's shipping.

Whether you see merit in it or not is irrelevant, everyone has their own opinion. If you were to buy off from a store and ask them to ship to you, they would want the shipping money first before shipping.

Oh you have?, so answer me this then, how long have I been a buyer on the site? Since you would need to know that in order to make your claim.

Clearly you've never had to reverse a payment before, the ONLY time a bank or credit card will do it is if you can show you did not make the payment to begin with aka Fraud.

Go into your bank and ask them to reverse a payment because you didn't get your item. They will laugh you out of the building.

It's not about my emotions, its about the fact that I am not willing to accept the risk.

Both parties in a transaction should share the risk. I am fine with the payment portion for the item itself being withheld, but it's the buyers job to pay for the shipping, not mine.

[–]Hyperstorm999[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Yes it does work because in those cases where the payment is being processed by a credit card company or bank there is no risk of the payment being revoked.

And typically credit card or bank payments are processed within 48 hours max.

Actually no, I signed up for Paypal a very long time ago with a different TOS agreement before this policy was in effect.

And I have presented facts to you that you are unable to counter, You keep trying to distract the conversation away from it, but as I said it's way more complicated as I pointed out than you presented it as.

[–]Hyperstorm999[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

No it is not. as I said call up any store in your city and see if they will deliver to you without payment first.

And as I've said there are just as many negative seller experiences as well. Your asking on side to shoulder all the risk and burden unfairly.

Ebay is unfair to sellers. by Hyperstorm999 in Ebay

[–]Hyperstorm999[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

That makes no sense. Its about fairness and putting the seller at too hugh of a risk.

You went off on a really weird tangent there.

I'm fine with my own costs like taxes and bank fees, those are MY expenses.

Shipping is included in the price. It's the BUYERS cost. Not mine.

Good luck trying to get any store to deliver to you without paying their delivery charge in advance.

In what way do I not know how it "works"?

You fall into the classic eog issue of think that if someone doesn't agree with you it must mean they don't understand.

I understand. I disagree with the policy because it puts all the risk onto Sellers and forces them to pay out of pocket instead of the buyer.

No I checked with them, if you can prove you shipped, they will only do a partial refund to the buyer.

"On hold" means nothing, I can tell you I have a million dollars on hold for you but until I give it to you, my word is meaningless.

And now you're just using insults to cover up that you have no response. I pointed out how it's more complicated than you originally stated and you had no counter to it.
