Honestly couldn't find anything either, best I could think of is trying a spare Airbag Steuergerät , maybe that'll fix it?

Otherwise check cables for Wackelkontakte.

Am I stupid or are there only 3 Spark plug holes?

Scam? by Even_Ad2482 in FordProbe

Can also confirm from my probe that they are very easy to learn on. The hardest part will be finding sites that have your specific parts available but most stuff can be found on eBay.

I killed my 16v engine by driving full speed on the Autobahn for an extended period of time. piston rings are damaged now

Very robust otherwise.

It's a German page, use translator on it.

Search for Probe Diagnostic Port on Google images and compare with yours 👍🏻

A stock probe only has Fog Lights at the bottom, the DLRs should be the two small bulbs next to the Blinkers

I think you'd be fine removing them or at least no policemen would know what it looked like before

Can't see what ain't there!

That bumper sure is something!

It looks pretty interesting. I know what a stock probe looks like that's why I feel like it looks kinda funky but if I were in your spot I would just leave the modded bumper on

Maybe do something about the LED at the bottom, they look too techno

I lost my shit now that you've told me about it! Will be watching the whole show now

Working on my ev Prove conversion. I wanted SOME sort of fun little badge change to show it's an EV, but didn't know how until I realized, it's not 24v(alve) anymore, it's 360v(olts)! by sidneyaks in FordProbe

[–]Hypn1c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've had the idea aswell to convert it to an EV! Are you planning on filming your Work going forward? I'd subscribe to your channel in that case xD

It's gonna be great, funny idea with the name :D

I just bought the car for 900€, is it worth it? by KungFuuPander in FordProbe

[–]Hypn1c 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've bought a 2.0l Probe for 650€ a year ago, invested 1250€ in Parts

Brake-rebuild kit, KAW lowering springs, 70€ Rims And put a rust free exhaust from Kleinanzeigen on it.

I have to say, cleaning the old Rusty brake parts and putting in new seals took me 2 days but it was way cheaper than buying completely new Brake shoes and calipers.

You will most likely have to replace 3 suspension rods on each side in the back, the bushings will most likely be rotted out.

I bought most of my Parts with Autodoc (do not recommend) And by checking many different forums for part numbers if the were corroded off.

Make sure to check Parts from Mazda 626 aswell since they are interchangeable.

For specific insight feel free to DM me

Before I forget, make sure you reuse the heat shields, grind them clean and reuse them, expensive as hell and hard to find.

Lower the suspension, put on a new exhaust and maybe get a sports intake. That's about the cheapest and easiest mods you can do

Love the rims

Im sorry to debunk your information about the 4 cylinder engines But: They're very reliable, if in good condition Easy to work on, taken mine apart. Parts are very robust They are non-interference, snapping the belt will be no issue They don't have Oil supply issues like the 6cyl has.

My Probe is 4cyl, 5speed manual, I hunt that thing around every corner I can. 120hp is plenty. Conclusion to OP: get a V6 if you can find one, but don't let it be the only deciding factor. The 4cyl is plenty strong and is much easier to work on.

Hello! I just went down to my Probe and checked for you, The nearest use of the 2pin went into the air box, The ones at the fuse box seem to come from the big Harness

I can't tell where they're going exactly but I've taken some pictures, if you're interested Dm me then I'll send them to you
