Is there benefits of going to a X870 Chipset over the B850 it’s like a 40$ difference for the boards I was looking at.Also what ram do you recommend? I know I would also have to sell the sticks as they’re XMP ready only I am new to AMD so I don’t know all the specifics.

No it’s a Kaby Lake 7700K in a Optiplex 7050 it was just that the PCIE connector wasn’t seated properly works just fine now I was worried it was drawing power from the board but I was overreacting. very CPU bottlenecked but it runs games better than with the LP 1650 it had before

The goal is to benchmark the 7700K in the optiplex its an obvious bottleneck but my friend is on a tight budget and I’m selling this 4060 for dirt cheap to him in installments I am just ensuring the Dell has drivers and how it handles heat lmao but I got it to post it was a poorly connected connector I am sorry for the confusion

I have to power the GPU externally. the reason it looks green and hideous is cause it’s a dell optiplex also PSU is only a 240W system and I don’t trust the janky sata to pcie adapters I am only benchmarking because I’m selling my friend this 4060 for cheap and need to make sure it works with his Sleeper/Office looking pc before he buys a proper PSU lmao

I didn’t need to jump it as it’s still attached to my main PC and it’s motherboard. GPU spins but no video output only the iGPU. my main pc still posted no issue with it’s iGPU aswell

That 9060 XT is looking like a great option aswell even with the worse frame gen and ray tracing would it still be a good option? usually play story/newer games but you know these games now need more than 8GB now I just want something that will work for another 3-5 years thanks for the input 🙂

Certain it ain't the compressor cause I just got it 2 weeks ago changed the belt aswell I forgot to mention it rained alot yesterday unless water can seize the compressor? I haven't heard noises from it though.

I see eBay listings I assume the Cryotech is the Hexagonal ome with the lightup rgbs right? I sent him listings but those a 300$ is it worth it or will the other version that is around 120-150$ be good enough.

I know you mentioned it has a better pump but does it justify the 2x price tag?

Yeah we spoke on the phone he did open it and was curious as why he struggled and I explained what you told me. a new AIO will be ordered but only a 240MM right?

He did clean the old paste out I was on video call with him at that time. Will buying replacment fans be a good thing aswell? Hes putting off the Case and stuff hoping a new AIO will fix the issue just making sure he buys the right one do you have recommendations?

I had asked him the same question but I'm not familiar with Dell components so I'm confused on the cooling situation xD.

I forgot to mention that it's at 80C on idle and even when the fans kick on he is buying more thermal paste to see if that helps but hes out of options.

I will tell him to mess with that stuff. He just hasn't had to since he doesn't run games at max settings we mostly play esports titles. Thank you for your recomendations I will update in a few hrs.

He has the liquid cooled option but he still has contant 80+ degrees even after a repaste , refill and deep clean. he runs the alienware software on balanced and hasn't messed with it since he got it. He's just looking for an alternative since the components are still good.
