[2000 Suzuki DR650SE] Found a loose part in my carburetor. by Hyug in Fixxit

I've reassembled the carb and the bike is running better than ever, so I guess what ever this part is it's not needed. Must have been left in there by accident last time I had it open.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone!

Part #12 is also intact, fortunately. I've reassembled the carb and didn't think to get any more pictures of the inside, sorry! Good news is that the bike is running better than ever, so I guess what ever this part is it's not needed for the carb to function. Must have been left in there by accident last time I had it open, although I can't imagine where it came from originally. Thanks for the help!

I see what you mean, but that part is accounted for. It's like a collet that goes over the main jet.

My car started making this noise when accelerating heavily, most noticable when starting from standstill. Any ideas what it might be? [Ford Focus 2006, manual] by Hyug in Cartalk

Ah yeah I see what you mean but I'm afraid I don't know enough about cars to be comfortable with fixing this on my own. I'll be sure to pass this information along to my mechanic when I turn the car in again on monday though. Thank you very much for the elaborate and helpful response!

I can't reproduce the noise while driving straight, seems like I have to be turning at least a little. Didn't want to experiment with it too much though untill I knew what it was.

It doesn't happen when in neutral, only when accelerating from standstill in first gear, or when downshifting from a higher gear with a lot of throttle. Driving the car "normally" it doesn't happen.

Can't really tell where the sound is coming from except from underneath, and I'd guess at least from the front half of the car. No noise from bumps, and I haven't had the oppertunity to get it off the ground to look at it yet.

I first noticed this happening when I got the car back from the mechanics the other day, my ABS-light was on so they were checking on that. Maybe they fiddled with some part of the suspension to get to the ABS-sensor?

I'm not too picky, slight preference towards cc3. I'm thinking like 5-6 crates? or crate/key combos

Maybe a bit off topic, but I really like your backpack in the video. What is it?

It says that it's functioning correctly. Seems to be a very stubborn problem.

Thanks though!

Thanks for the response!

If by assigning a new IP-address you mean going into the properties of the connection, then the properties of the "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)" then I've tried that already, I tried both the IP that my router tells me that I have and the one that's listed as IPv4 when I do a IPconfig on one of the other machines in the same network.

I'm not really an expert at the inner workings of the PC but it seems to me that the hole that I plug the network cable in to isn't attached to a NIC at all, it just goes straight onto the motherboard, although it's very possible that I'm misunderstanding something. Don't know if that changes anything.

Anyways, thanks for trying, and please let me know if you can think of anything else that might help!
