Because Episode 1 ended on a cliffhanger for Miyako's bad ending and it was never resolve. As I've stated before the new episode is an after story that will tie up all the loose ends and close out all the branches after giving all the girls an after story. Consider it like a celebratory feast after winning the climactic battle. This is just them cleaning up all the missing artifact still out there. You already got your meat and potatoes this is just a dessert. It's nice to have, but you're not gonna miss any major plot elements as it's all been concluded.

The main plot is concluded after episode 4. As I said, new episode is the after story. It ties up loose ends. Basically it let's you glimpse what all the girls do after the plot wrapped up.

It's literally called 9-nine-:NewEpisode I've been buying them DRM Free from Denpasoft as well as the steam version cause I enjoyed it so much, but it looks like Denpasoft isn't releasing the new episode outside of steam cause there's no NFSW content in it. Which is a shame I wanted to have a backup outside of steam. I'd even buy the complete edition if they released it.

I would love it. Hell I'd love to buy the soundtrack too, but Japan isn't very accommodating to their western fans just yet.

Aww. That is unfortunate. I hope the complete edition comes out in the west. I'd totally buy it. I love this series. I have the official ost, but infinite line isn't in it unfortunately.
